Suspicions Galore - Big Brother 6
When Janelle won her 2 day stint as HoH something very peculiar happened during the tie-breaker at the end of the Head of Household competition.
I realize it's a little late to bring this up since her work is done and she kicked Jennifer's worthless butt out of the House, but I got an email from a concerned reader who also noticed what we all must have seen; Janelle had two answers. This is not Kosher.
The remaining three houseguests were asked to come as close to the correct number of light bulbs it took to spell "Sold Out" on the movie marquee for the luxury competition without going over by writing their guess on a large poster board. When Janelle first held up her sign it was upside down and the number "300" was written on it in pink marker. Julie admonished her for holding it the wrong way and asked her to turn it right side up.
As if by magic, the card now said "275" in black marker which was the winning number, since it was the closest to "286" light bulbs without going over. Not one word was said about this incident either during that show or later on.
VH1 Shows - How to Steal a Movie and So Much More - The Surreal Life
For some reason, a large number of reality shows have surfaced on VH1, some good, some even better. I am a big fan of The Surreal Life. They always get the most bizzaro characters and this season is no exception. Janice Dickinson is very good at being a major drama queen as well as making a fool of herself by repeating her "supermodel" mantra at every opportunity. That's part of Janice's act. Omarosa is really getting steamed about it, and that is so much fun to watch.
Hogan Knows Best
"Hogan Knows Best" is mildly, not wildly entertaining as he is trying to get his family in line the Hogan way. His son is already making out with his adolescent girlfriend in his own bedroom while big sister Brooke is not given the same privileges. Her big thing is launching her music career which is surprising since she doesn't seem to have much of a voice. She makes Britney sound like Gwen Stefani.
Tommy Lee Goes to College - (seems like a VH1 show even though it's on NBC)
A fading, aging rocker shamelessly tries to revive his career.
Then there is "Tommy Lee Goes to College" which is pretty lame so far. I think they should have started Tommy off in 2nd grade and then maybe he could keep up.
Celebrity Fit Club
"Celebrity Fit Club" is a funnier, crazier version of "The Biggest Loser." This season's bad boys are Gary Busey, Willie Aames and Jani Lane. Last season they only had one, Daniel Baldwin. Most of the time it's quite hilarious especially when the bad boys lock horns with Harvey, the tough talking Marine. The expectations are lower because these people are D-list celebrities. After all, Wendy, the Snapple lady is back for her second term.
Gene Simmons Rock School
But what I'm finally getting to is a show that just had its premiere showing last night. It's "Gene Simmons Rock School." It is a direct rip-off of the much more likeable "School of Rock" with that demon clown, Jack Black.
Gene arrives at a posh English school and is met by a bunch of snooty kids who are classical music students. They think he's a total freak and he doesn't seem to have the personality of Jack Black when it comes to convincing the students that Rock 'n' Roll is cool. In fact, most of them have never heard of KISS. The administrators are not convinced that he is what they were looking for in a music teacher. This is so contrived that it makes Tommy Lee look like the most realistic college student ever.
Every shtick from the kids' disdain to staff peering in at the classroom in horror is exactly the way it was in "School of Rock" except that it's not as funny.
All I can say is, I smell a lawsuit.
