Well, for those of us that are unhappy with the latest installment of The Real World there is hope for us yet. The Real World Producer announced last week that the next installment will be filmed in Austin, Texas. Many other cities including Washington DC, Atlanta, Denver, and Sydney were mentioned but it is Austin.
This season the producers were scouting for someone who had recently returned from serving in Iraq. The New show will air in June 2005 about the same time the next edition of Road Rules is set to air.
The next Challenge is getting ready to begin filming. This time the producers listened to what the people wanted. The next challenge will be the Naughty vs. the Nice. Filming is set to begin mid January and will begin airing in March.
In other MTV reality news, three shows will begin new seasons in January. Get set for more of Ashlee Simpson life when the second season of her show begins on Wednesday, January 26th at 10. This season we will get an insiders look at what really happened during her SNL fiasco.
Not be out shown by her sister, Jessica Simpson will be back for the third installment of her show Newlyweds. This season will be more about how they manage their marriage while they both continue to have successful careers. Rumor has it we will get an insider look at the set of the new Dukes of Hazard movie. Newlyweds will begin airing January 26th at 10 pm.
Last but certainly not least is the Osbornes. They will return for a new season starting on January 17th at 10:30. No word yet on what those crazy Osbornes will be up to but rumor are there will be mention of the robbery that took place on their estate.
In alumni news we would like to congratulate Mike from Real World Back to New York better known as The Miz. Mike appeared on the reality show Tough Enough. He made it to the finals, but he ended up losing to that annoying Daniel Puder guy. Even though he lost the million dollar wrestling contract, don't count Mike out yet. It looks like the WWE might still give Mike a deal.
Finally, congratulation to Cara from Road Rules South Pacific. She is in the running to be Playboy's Playmate of the Year. For those that missed her, she was Miss November.
