One of the most infamous stars in reality television history is Toni Ferrari, cast member from Fox's "Love Cruise" and "Paradise Hotel." That's right; she was so popular on "Love Cruise" that the producers asked her back for more with "Paradise Hotel." You may think you know everything there is to know about Toni but as I learned from my time spent talking to this incredibly intelligent and funny woman; there's more than what you see on TV. So let's talk with Toni and learn what she has to say about where her life is now, will she be returning to reality television, just how many reality TV stars she knows, and what is the exclusive information she knows about the Johnny Fairplay and Jeff Probst fallout.
Mandy - Thank you so much Toni for agreeing to do this interview with me. I really appreciate it.
Toni - You are so welcome. I can't believe I have fans out there.
Mandy - You definitely do and there are tons of people dying to know everything about you. First, how do you feel about how you were portrayed on "Love Cruise"?
Toni - "Love Cruise" confused me with how the game was played. I am on the show as I am with my family. I am opinionated but not in someone's face unless you take my words and flip them around. If you cut down my friend and family, like a lot of people were talking about Andrea ("Love Cruise" cast mate), I will step in. My whole life I have been picked on; people stepped on me. I finally just got sick of it. I realized you can do more damage with your words and getting in someone's mind than with your fists.
Mandy - So what was it like to audition for the show?
Toni - It's funny because right before "Love Cruise", I was planning a trip. I don't speak fluent Greek but wanted to take a vacation to Greece for the first time. I auditioned for the show and was told they weren't sure if I was going to get the show. So I went on vacation. While in Greece, the callback for "Love Cruise" came via email asking me to come back a week early. This was so I could take all the tests and the final exams needed in order to be on the show. I told the producers if I didn't get in, I would kill someone. (Laughter) It was also funny because Ralph and I went together but lied about knowing each other. We went stood in line for the open call during the show but made sure no one knew we were friends.
When it came to Paradise Hotel, the ultimate producer in the world Bruce Toms asked me if I would like to come back for his new show. But this time I didn't have to go through the lines like I did with "Love Cruise." I flew by the contracts and the psych exam. The psych exam was something they gave me to do in my room. It had questions like, "Do you sometimes hear voices?" Right as I read that question, click; the radio came on. I jumped under the desk.
Mandy - Ok, so let's get to the stuff that has made it on different reality TV insider shows. What is up with the situation between you, Charla, and Dave (Paradise Hotel)?
Toni - The Dave Drama. At the reunion show, it was talked about but Dave's still in the realm of bulls-t. But he got screwed over by Charla; she will admit she promised Dave he would not get any money if he broke promises. Well Dave broke a lot of promises.
The last time I talked to Charla was the Christmas after the final episode aired. She was snippy. But I wish her the best and I always have. As for Dave, I am going to New York City and plan on taking him out to dinner. I wish him the best from my heart.
Mandy - Do you still talk to any other of your fellow cast mates from "Paradise Hotel"?
Toni - Tara, Kelly, and I hang out. The original group of me, Beau, Alex, Kristen and Amanda; etc. is still very tight and still cares a lot about each other. Those people are my heart. We kept our word. Melanie and Scott are good friends too. I was bawling when it ended. For a reality TV show, we are really close friends.
