Facing Reality One Night At A Time

Last Night:
Big Brother 6 is finally underway. Thursday nights episode introduced us to the youngest and best looking cast to date. Unfortunately that does not always equate to good entertainment. You can only look so long. I'll reserve judgement for now. At least a little.
I don't want to put any spoiler material in this column, but if you want to know what has been going on that you did not see Thursday night, and there is a lot, check out our Big Brother page here. As I write this there are currently 16 articles posted. All the gossip, news and spoilers you can stand.
I am already forming my favorites and those that I wish I had never seen. Howie is the most annoying house guest in the history of the show. I suspect the girls will form an alliance just to kick his butt out of the house.
He deserves it along with a good sexual-harrasment suit. I wonder if CBS could get sued over his behavior. It is really uncalled for. Howie reminds me the obnoxious "ladies-man" who turns out to be a virgin in almost every High School movie ever made.
Ashlea, who I have no doubt will be voted out this week is one of the most boring house guests in my memory. She will be quickly forgotten. Her secret partner will not be around long either. If you want to know who that is, click here.
Over all I have high hopes for this season. And for this summer. A lot of good Reality TV gets underway this week. But it is still, for the most part, Monday through Thursday. Too bad.
It's time for a shameless commercial pitch.
If you are a real Big Brother fan and you are going to be buying the Big Brother Live Feeds, please consider buying them through Reality TV Calendar. It's a better deal than you get through CBS and it's the same live feeds. RTVC gets a kickback on it and hopefully we can eliminate some of those annoying pop-ups.
Tonight:
Rock Star: INXS has been in the works for two years. It is supposed to be the next-big-thing from Survivor and Apprentice Executive Producer Mark Burnett. It's time he had another hit. I've almost forgiven him for The Restaurant and I think this one has possibilities. Three episodes a week. Hot music, hot contestants and hot hosts. It's elimination - competition based. It's American Idol without the bubble gum. I'm hopeful. Watch it tonight.
Tonight's Picks:
8/7c - Watch The Scholar ABC
8/7c - Record Hell's Kitchen (2hrs) FOX
9/8c - Rock Star: INXS Premiere - CBS
10/9c - Laguna Beach Preview - MTV
More tomorrow.
