Facing Reality One Night At A Time

Last Night:
Congrats to CBS and Rock Star: INXS. The numbers for the Tuesday night premiere are in. The pulled 6.31 million viewers. Those are not American Idol numbers, but they did win the all important 18-49 year old demographic. I expect the numbers to grow as the public hears what a fun show this is to watch. Big Brother did well Tuesday night with 8.46 million while I Want To Be A Hilton continued to struggle, pulling in 4.6 million.
Several sources are reporting on rumors that Paula Abdul will be leaving American Idol. The gist of them seems to be that she will be a Judge on the Idol spin-off So You Think You Can Dance. Possible replacement being mentioned include Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. I would be surprised is Mariah Carey could take that much time away from her singing career. I would be equally surprised if Whitney Houston could stay out of rehab that long. I would not be surprised to see Paula make the move. I hope they can come up with a better replacement. How about Mikalah?
ABC has announced that Simon Cowell will head up Million Dollar Idea a Reality TV Show for inventors. Cowell will Judge and produce. Nine wannabe inventors will be given $50,000 to develop their idea. Cowell and a panel of judges will select the best three. America will vote on the winner. Cowell says, "We hope we’re going to create a product that will sell millions across America.”
It's time for a shameless commercial pitch.
If you are a real Big Brother fan and you are going to be buying the Big Brother Live Feeds, please consider buying them through Reality TV Calendar. It's a better deal than you get through CBS and it's the same live feeds. RTVC gets a kickback on it and hopefully we can eliminate some of those annoying pop-ups.
Tonight:
The first eviction of Big Brother's 6th season will take place live tonight on CBS. I'm betting Ashlea is toast. That is really a slam dunk. What will be interesting will be who wins the next Head of Household, and who will be nominated. If all you watch is the three episodes a week you are really missing a lot. Check our Big Brother page here for 20 Big Brother articles.
ABC will debut Hooking Up tonight. More documentary that Reality TV the show explores the world of internet dating.
Also tonight the Game Show Network continues with season one of The Amazing Race. If you missed the Quido's the first time, here is your chance.
Reality TV Calendar will send you the latest casting calls as soon as they are released. Calls are often short notice with short deadlines. You need to make contact immediately. You can't do that unless you have immediate notification of the call. One Time Payment, Only $7.95.
