The Veto Ceremony & What Happens Now

Spoiler Report by Big Sister
July 25, 2005

The Power of Veto Ceremony is over. James who had won the Power of Veto on Saturday used it to save himself. Kaysar, as was the plan, then nominated Eric for eviction. No one was surprised by any of this. It was expected.

Eric has been acting resigned to his fate since shortly after James won the Veto and he (Eric) realized what the plan was. I think he actually admires and respects his opposition for carrying out a good plan.

But he has made no effort to cover how he feels James has betrayed him. Was he expecting James to quietly go home? Without putting up a fight? Wouldn't Eric have done the same thing in the same circumstances. Obviously yes.
In conversations with other houseguests Eric does say "if I go home", but that is really not an option. Those in his alliance would have a difficult time voting to evict Maggie. Obviously Kaysar and Company will vote to evict Eric. CBS will edit Tuesday night and the first half of Thursday's episode to look like there is actually some chance that Maggie could go home. I don't think even the people who do not watch the feeds or read our reports are dumb enough to buy that. Cappy Eric is history.

Credit to Kaysar and Company for a great strategic move. But what happens now?

Of course that will depend on who wins HOH Thursday night. And by the way, I would not be surprised if at the end of Thursday night's episode we do no know who has HOH. Seems to me it is time for an endurance competition. We'll see.

Here are a few possibilities based on different HOH's.

If Janelle, or Howie wins HOH they will be heavily influenced by Kaysar and his plans. They aren't his puppets by any means but they will listen to him. Rachel is a little less firmly tied to that alliance. If any of them win the alliance, the question of nominating James will come up. Kaysar will oppose this based on principle. Saying he promised to take James and Sarah to the final six. They will honor that promise. Although from a purely strategic point of view removing James would be the best option.

So that leaves a bunch of weak players to chose from. I think they will decide on eliminating people they don't like. That means Ivette and April.

What if James or Sarah wins HOH. The strategic play would be to get rid of Kaysar if at all possible. He is a strong player and strategic player. Will they do it? If given HOH I think it is about a 50/50 chance they will try. If not, again I would say Ivette and April are the two likely targets.

What if anybody from the opposing side wins HOH? I think you can count on Kaysar and Janelle being nominated and James in reserve if one of them get's POV'd.

It's been an interesting week. I suspect the next couple of weeks will be more predictable as I expect Kaysar and company will probably hold on to HOH for a while. If they do they will continue to pick off the opposition.

The interesting game will begin if they make it down to the final six as planned and then turn on each other.

That's it for now.

You can watch the live feeds too. If you are going to get them please buying them through Reality TV Calendar. It's a better deal than you get through CBS and it's the same live feeds. RTVC gets a kickback on it and hopefully we can eliminate some of those annoying pop-ups.

We appreciate your support.

Because of her sisterly relation to her "Big Brother" it's really important that Big Sister's identity remain covert - we wouldn't want the parental unit getting wind of her snooping and "ground" her. Fortunately around here they can keep a secret much better than most of the major networks!
