Big Brother 6 Spoiler & Commentary
Jennifer Lied, But Did She Also Cheat?
Spoiler & Commentary by Big Sister
August 15, 2005
We all know that Jennifer lied her way into HoH. She begged and whined and pleaded with Kaysar to give it to her. She promised and swore on her life that if Kaysar would give her HoH she would nominate two of her own alliance and then backdoor James who would be evicted. These are facts, we saw it all. We saw it on the feeds and CBS broadcast it in Saturday nights episode.
Now it appears that Jennifer will further dishonor herself by not keeping her promise on the second part of the deal she made with Kaysar. Instead of backdooring James, everything we see indicates she will backdoor Kaysar. From watching her and the rest of Maggie's Maggots we should not be surprised.
But that is old news. What I want to look at right now is the question..."Did Jennifer cheat to get HoH?" According to a lot of readers she did. I have recieved 27 emails in the last day and a half all saying pretty much the same thing.
In essence they say that after Howie announced that Big Brother had changed the rules, making it illegal to touch or lean against the glass and / or touch the button box with your other hand, Jennifer did both. Several houseguests were disqualified for breaking the rules. Why wasn't Jennifer?
Basically I have to agree with all of you who have written in. That is what I saw as well. But, to be honest, I am not drawing the same conclusion. I don't think this is CBS plotting to change the outcome. It would be pretty dumb of them to do that. They are going to see a slight ratings dip when Kaysar leaves again and they would never do something to intentionally to cause that.
No, I think this simple incompetence on the part of the editing team. Remember Saturday night was not live. The HoH competition was edited down to minutes from almost 15 hours of tape from multiple cameras. I think what happened here is somebody plugged in a dramatic piece of footage (exhausted Jennifer leaning on the glass) that had taken place before the rule change. But they inserted it after the rules change.
To think that Big Brother would intentionally change the outcome on this dramatic a level would reduce Arnie and Allison to the level of Maggie's Maggots. And I just don't believe they are that low.
By the way, I've gotten almost as many email from people saying they will stop watching the show if Kaysar is eliminated again. I do expect there will be a dip in the ratings as some people leave in disgust, but I encourage you to stay with it. The thing about Big Brother is that you can never really predict more than a day or two in advance. Who knows what is yet to happen. I'll keep watching.
That's it for now.
You can watch the live feeds too. If you are going to get them please buying them through Reality TV Calendar. It's a better deal than you get through CBS and it's the same live feeds. RTVC gets a kickback on it and hopefully we can eliminate some of those annoying pop-ups.
Reality TV Calendar will send you the latest casting calls as soon as they are released. Calls are often short notice with short deadlines. You need to make contact immediately. You can't do that unless you have immediate notification of the call. One Time Payment, Only $7.95.
