I was wrong.
I really thought that in the end Ivette would do what was best for her and her family. I thought all her whining and crying about needing the money to help her family meant something. As it turned out she decided to stay loyal to her alliance. She voted for people she has know for a couple of months rather than for her mother and her lover. Judging from the interviews last night I expect they were both very hurt by Ivette's decision to forsake them in favor of new friends.
Perhaps the argument can be made that Ivette truly felt her best chance of winning the money was to support her alliance. If that is her reasoning than she is really guilty of bad judgement again. Either way she made the wrong choice because there is no way that Maggie and April are going to help Ivette win the money. In the end, when it happens and when Ivette watches the tapes of the show and see the alliance between Maggie and April, Ivette will be heartbroken.
I feel sorry for her. But she brought it on herself.
So what happens now? Janelle will have to nominate two of the three remaining maggots. Each is a target and I am not sure who she will nominate. If you really want my guess I would say in-order-of-importance her targets are Maggie, April, Ivette. Will she nominate them that way or attempt to back door one of them? I'm don't know. I am sure she is happy knowing that she is eliminating one of them. As Maggie said last night after the show was over, "The worst thing that could happen, did happen."
There will be a Power of Veto competition. Everybody will play for it. I'll be hoping Janelle wins it.
Saturday we will see Julie announce that Janelle has won another America's Choice award. Maggie and company will whine that is is unfair and that Janelle somehow cheated and that the producers fixed it. They just don't understand how most people perceive them.
Tuesday we will see an eviction. There is no way to predict the outcome of that now. But I'm happy knowing it will be a fiend leaving the house.
Here are a couple of conversation snippets from last night's feeds. They are very telling.
April spent a good deal of the evening coming up with excuses for losing the HoH. Saying that when Julie asked her to "make up her mind now", that caused her to miss answers. She then tells Ivette that Janelle cheated because Janelle could see April's moves. Is April really that dumb?
Ivette told April she will not go begging for the money. No, but she will whine about her need for it endlessly. But of course she won't do what is needed to actually help her family. She also tells April that if she (April) chooses Maggie over her (Ivette) she will not get mad. That's a good think since it is a done deal already, but I don't for a minute think Ivette will be un-moved by it.
April talks to Maggie and tells her that Ivette said (Maggie and April) threw the HoH competition. That of course makes Maggie mad. I am becoming convinced that April does not even know when she is lying. And that is worse.
Oh well, with Janelle still in the game the it will remain interesting.
Remember - Saturday night's episode will be seen at 10e/p, following the U.S. Open Women's Tennis coverage.
That's it for now.
You can watch the live feeds too. If you are going to get them please buying them through Reality TV Calendar. It's a better deal than you get through CBS and it's the same live feeds. RTVC gets a kickback on it and hopefully we can eliminate some of those annoying pop-ups.
Because of her sisterly relation to her "Big Brother" it's really important that Big Sister's identity remain covert - we wouldn't want the parental unit getting wind of her snooping and "ground" her. Fortunately around here they can keep a secret much better than most of the major networks!
Got a scoop? A rumor? A spoiler? You can write to your Big Sister anytime. Email Big Sister.
