What Does Kaysar Say About It?

Spoiler Report by Big Sister
September 20, 2005
I spent a couple of hours this morning just surfing around the net. Taking a look at what other people think about Big Brother 6, "The Friendship" and the final 2. I've come to the conclusion that I have been too easy on them. Ivette and Maggie may well be the most hated personalities to appear on Reality TV. I think they are both expecting to be treated as pariahs when they return to the real world. But I think neither of them, nor April, nor Jennifer have any concept of how emotional the audience is about this season. After reading hundreds of fan posts there is no word other than "hatred" to describe the feelings towards these people. And hatred is the word most often used by the fans themselves.

To me it seems like an awfully strong emotion. A waste of time for people who do not deserve the expenditure of our emotional energy. These people will be gone soon. Hopefully they'll go hide somewhere. Hopefully no producer will be foolish enough to think that giving them a shot on another show is a good idea.
There are villains we love to watch. People like Omarosa, Janice Dickinson, Richard Hatch. And there are people we have so little respect for and so much distaste for that we wish never to see them again. People like Maggie, Ivette, April and Jennifer.

But enough of what I think.

People have been wondering for weeks what Kaysar thinks about all this. Now we now. Kaysar has added his comments to the CBS blog, Revenge of the Houseguests. Here is what he had to say:

"I have been asked on several occasions if I am upset with Ivette's racist comments, and April's compulsive lying. All I can say is that any feeling of anger I had for these ladies is overshadowed by an overwhelming sense of disappointment and sadness. Simply put... I feel sorry for them. They will be held accountable for their actions outside of the Big Brother house. Someone needs to explain to them that it's not okay to sell your soul for money. Every time they give a speech about the importance of friendship, loyalty, integrity, and honor my stomach begins to turn. As for Maggie... Sure, you may consider your blank stares, and apathy a strategy but I assure you that it is not. You, Maggie, represent those in our society who sit around quietly and watch the good people of this world go down in flames. And when the dust begins to settle you feast on what’s left.

If they (The Friendship) took the time to stop preaching and truly played the game "with their hearts," they can hear the loud thump that resonates from the chests of those houseguests who truly exhibit honor. Instead, ironically, those foolish houseguests who claim to speak the language of integrity aligned themselves with those who are like minded. These were the houseguests driven by greed, arrogance, and the lust for fame. For those who think this was only a game, think again. These past three months have been an extension of our lives."

Wow, I thought I was harsh. But he is right on many levels. I especially appreciate his comments about it being a game. Yes it is a game. A game which requires deception to win. But that does not change the fact that how a contestant plays the game is a reflection of the kind of person they are. Do they lie to their opponents and then go into the Diary Room and admit to the audience that they are lying to gain strategic advantage? Or do they lie to themselves, their alliance partners, their opponents and the audience? All in an effort to justify their actions and to make themselves feel good about themselves. In other words are they self-delusional hypocrites or honest liars? It is a fine line. But it is the line that defines how the audience feels about contestants.

It is a line that Maggie and her Maggots crossed. But being the people they are, they will never understand that.

That's it for now.

You can watch the live feeds too. If you are going to get them please buying them through Reality TV Calendar. It's a better deal than you get through CBS and it's the same live feeds. RTVC gets a kickback on it and hopefully we can eliminate some of those annoying pop-ups.

We appreciate your support.

Because of her sisterly relation to her "Big Brother" it's really important that Big Sister's identity remain covert - we wouldn't want the parental unit getting wind of her snooping and "ground" her. Fortunately around here they can keep a secret much better than most of the major networks!
