Counselor Shawn I Want To Be A Hilton: Episode 2
Johnny Goes Marching Home
Recap By Adria Valdes
June 29, 2005
On Tuesday, June 28th, NBC aired the second episode of the hit new reality TV series I Want to Be a Hilton. This week, the two teams were faced with yet another challenge. This time the challenges focused a little more on their creativity and sales ability rather than their manners. It all began at The Melrose hotel where Team Park and Team Madison awaited word from Ms. Kathy Hilton on what they would be doing that day. Team Park was up and about, they seemed excited and ready for whatever challenges the day had in store. Team Madison on the other hand, stayed in bed a little longer. After losing Alain on the last episode, their spirits were a little down. But who could blame them? They seemed to display an unenthusiastic "who's going home today?" attitude. Finally, the teams received a letter from Ms. Hilton. It explained that a helicopter would soon pick them up and they would be on their way to The Hamptons, an infamous relaxation spot for the biggest and best celebrities.
Although some of the team members were confused (Latrica thought The Hamptons were friends of the Hiltons), everyone was ecstatic..

As the helicopter hovered over the picturesque scenery that was The Hamptons, Brenden reminisced about his days as a golf caddy (which weren't that long ago). Once the teams arrived, they were swept away to their first event, The Mercedes Benz Polo Challenge. The teams enjoyed watching a game of polo, the stereotypical high class sport. I've always wondered how polo was deemed so high class. The thought of men on horseback pushing around a ball with a stick just never seemed so exclusive to me. So, if anyone knows how this sport came to be so elite, please let me know. Also present at the event, were celebrities like Russell Simmons and David Lee Roth. It was obvious this setting wasn't common to some of our wannabes, as a few of the boys decided to kick around horse manure. Real classy...

After a quite eventful morning, the Hilton hopefuls arrived at the Hilton's vacation house. It was here that they were told about their first mission of the day. Ms. Hilton was going to host a charity sale/auction (with the help of our teams) to benefit breast cancer, in memory of her mother who lost the battle with breast cancer only some years ago. Team Madison and Team Park's challenge was to quickly grab what they thought was the most valuable from a collection of the Hilton's possessions that were laid across the lawn, and put them in each of their designated tents. And they were off.

At the end of this challenge.....
