High School Reunion 3: Episode 1
It's Going To Be A Wild Ride!
Commentary By Audrey Korshoff
CGHS Class of 1996

Oh Lordy, it's going to be a wild ride!
I'm Audrey- former CGHS student and class of 96. I attended school with everyone on the show (except Brien who was kicked out before I got there).
My hope is to help give additional insight into the Cardinal Gibbons world- for outsiders... maybe some additional background information and maybe even some additional pictures! (Since Hank is doing the recaps!)
Now, right off the bat, I very clearly remember Nikki. She has always been a friendly person, and immediately after seeing her talk about an abusive ex-boyfriend, I ran to pick up my yearbook... I knew I would remember who she had dated. Still trying to figure that one out!
I also remember Gianni. It's hard to miss a 6'8" person walking around to begin with, but I remember him always being a kind of gentle giant. Back in high school he was always kind, always willing to talk to anyone and just a genuine nice guy. I also remember Jaime. We girls didn't talk to Gianni much mainly because you dealt with nasty looks and the wrath of Jaime if you even tried. I was honestly scared for both Gianni and Loretta while watching the show last night. How horrific to carry around feelings that deep after TEN years of not being together!
Gianni seemed to be able to handle her a little bit better than he did in high school, but hey, poor guy.
I remember Jim and Nicole being an item during their Junior year (which was my freshman year). They always did look great together; it wouldn't surprise me if they figured out how to get it right this time.
As far as Jen goes, apparently not much has changed. I actually find it sad that someone feels such a need to go after men who are otherwise involved. And yes, it does take two, but there is an unwritten code among women to keep your hands off a "taken" guy.
The show also showed Carin, (to whom I must say, "Girl, you look FABULOUS!) dealing with the issues that she had from high school. If I could impart any insight there, you're the same person, nearly ten years wiser. Let your past make you stronger.
I'm looking forward to next week's episode- mainly because I already recognize another face. I am looking forward to seeing what Tara is up to these days!
Audrey is a work at home mother to four children and 1996 graduate of Cardinal Gibbons.
