Road Rules 13: Episodes 6
Another One Bites The Dust
Recap By Cari C.
July 13, 2004
Up next are Patrick and Danny. Danny is going all out because he has to prove to the team he deserves to be there. The two do well. They finish the first lap in 1:54, the second in 1:56 and the third in 1:53. They finish with a time of 5:43. These two worked well as a team.
The last team of the day is Jodi and Kina. They have to finish the three laps in 6:56 or they lose. The two get ready and start their first lap. Like Derrick and Ibis, their car stalls on the hill. They finish the first lap in 3:13. Jodi is upset. She feels she messed up for the whole team. Kina tells her they can do it. They start out on lap two.
Jodi gets it together on the 2nd lap and they finish with a time of 2:04. This gives them 1:38 to finish lap three. They put it all on the line and head out. They are making great time. They take a turn to fast and the dune buggy flips. The mission is over the team will have to vote someone off.
Everyone takes off towards the girls. They are both okay just shaken up. The guys turn the buggy over and get the girls out. Jodi feels awful. She feels it is her fault they lost the mission. She feels like she could be the one to go tonight. The mayors come back and tell them they have lost the mission. They will have four hours to go back and decide who they will vote off.
Everyone heads back to the campsite. Danny and Kina begin talking about the vote. Kina asks him if he feels he should go home. He doesn't feel he should go home tonight. He feels he showed today what he can do. With the exception of cow mission, he feels he has been strong and one of their top guns. He tells Kina he plans to vote for Jodi. Kina feels that Jodi is not the weakest.
Derrick and Jodi have decided to play a little basketball before the vote. Jodi is worried. She says if she could she would vote for herself. She messed up today and she could go home. She doesn't want to go though. Derrick tells us that Jodi should watch out for the vote tonight since she did mess up today.
The group has decided to sit in a circle and go around and vote. They must say the name of the person they want to vote off and then why they are voting for them. Derrick goes first. He votes for Danny. He says that it is not personal but Danny messed up the cow mission. The mission was tough but everyone else did it. Patrick is next and he also votes for Danny. He admits that Jodi did mess up today but it was not from weakness, it was an accident. Danny is the only one to show weakness and that is why he is chose Danny.
Danny is up and he throws his vote to Jodi. He says he hates to do it but he has to vote for her. Ibis speaks up next and votes Danny. She knows he has given a lot and she is sorry she has to do this. At this point Danny is mad. He feels he only sucked at one mission and he can't understand why they are voting him out.
Kina is the last to vote and she votes for Danny. She said he showed weakness and you just can't do that. Danny stands and tells the group he is going to pack since it is obvious he is going home. He is really upset and still believes he should not be the one sent home.
As Danny packs, they show flashbacks of Danny in previous missions. This is obviously hard on the whole group. Danny is not a bad guy. He did do well in certain missions. His mistake was showing weakness. If you show weakness or vulnerability then you will get voted off. The group gives Danny a huge group hug. Danny gets in the car and heads off.
Next week the group gets a new member. If rumors are right, the new guy is Nick and like Danny he is gay. I wonder how the new guy will fit into the already tight knit group. Join me next week and find out.
