This week's episode opens with Jordan (sleeping in the RV) being awakened to the sounds of blaring horns. Although taken for a loop, he heads into the hotel eventually playing housekeeping (with a high pitched squeal) and heading to Bridgette's room. Flav shares how hurt he is by Bridgette's encounter with Enrique and it is clear that he has emotionally invested in Bridgette (sweetie, she has a man!). For these two, it looks like there may be trouble ahead.
When the group gathers for breakfast, they receive the paper (they still get the paper when they are out and about *lol*) informing them that they will be headed to the beach to surf. In the midst of the excitement and anxiety, it is also made clear that Flav will not be driving as he initially planned.
Everyone is worried about what to expect from Flav if he drives (apparently this answers Charo's question about individual life insurance) and they aren't about to take any chances.
Despite the group decision, Flav is still determined to get behind the wheel (He just doesn't get it!) and as the group leaves Hurrah's, Flav heads to the driver's side, ready and eager to drive. What happens next is a full-fledged 'Flav sit-in' with the group decision being reinforced and Bridgette politely asking for his passport and drivers license (let's face it Flav, you don't have one!). Angry, Flav eventually gives up the driver's seat and sulks in silence, mad at the world and feeling that "his whole crew was against him" (No, they were just doing what they needed to do-I wouldn't want to be pulled over if my driver didn't have a license!).
The group finally arrives to the beach and is greeted by the Willis Brothers, renowned pro surfers. Together they form a "Power Circle" and the brothers inform them that they will experience waves and miracles as they become "one" with the waves. Before the surfing begins, Bridgette flirts with one of the brothers, bringing further dismay to Flav as he remains in "shutdown mode", not looking to participate in the task nor interacting the rest of group.
As Dave kicks off the surfing lessons, the brothers try to get the rest of the group involved. Jordan promptly backs out (are you saving your strength for the upcoming NKOTB reunion??) with Charo following suit, citing her wrists and the risk of carpel tunnel syndrome(which was understandable). Ryan is giddy to receive lessons from a cutie (AWWW….) and Bridgette takes her turn in the water.
Despite Flav's mood, one of the brothers approaches him in the hopes of "merging surfers with rappers". Flav decides to go for it and despite a rough start (included with Jordan's "when is he going to finish"…hush, at least he tried and *you* didn't), Flav catches his wave much to the excitement of himself and the rest of the group. At the end of the day, the brothers pass out participation certificates and Flav is named "Surfer of the Day". His prize? A Surreal Life Surfboard (Now that's merging surfing and hip hop!).
To finish out, the group roasts marshmallows underneath the moon. As Ryan reflects on her high school love, Bridgette asks Flava if it is true that he loves her. He tells Bridgette that he loves her like he does everybody (we know you're smitten Flav!) which hurt Bridgette's feelings. He also states that his attitude was for everyone who didn't back him. Bridgette and Flava exchange expletives with Bridgette (the group following thereafter) heading back to the RV. Could this be the beginning of the end for Bridgette and Mr. F?
