I am a big fan of The Swan and since RTVC needed a fill-in recapper I was happy to help out. I enjoy watching the program each and every week it is on. Watching two women go through the emotional and physical pain they endure to become beautiful is something I admire. It takes a lot of strength and courage to go through the transformation. My hat is off to the ladies that do this.
Our hostess Amanda Byron begins by telling us that they are bringing us two unbelievable stories. This is the only show where ordinary women get a once in a life time chance to become a beauty queen. Only one woman will be chosen to join the lucky four, who have already reached the pageant in hopes of being crowned "The Swan."
First we meet Cinnamon S.
She is a 31 year old, Police Officer, a divorcee with three children from Philadelphia PA. She has always been considered a tom-boy, not very feminine or sexy. She married at a young age and divorced after ten years. She is now the heaviest she has ever been in her life. She feels like a failure and wonders who would ever want her. When she looks in the mirror she goes right to the bad; the nose, mustache and chin hairs. She can point to 70 different features she doesn't like about her body. She hopes that The Swan can help her feel more confident about herself.
The Panel of Experts
Dr. Terry J. Dubrow feels Cinnamon has body issues. He feels she needs breast augmentation, a tummy tuck, and liposuction. Her nose needs to sit back, the tip needs refined and she also needs a brow lift.
Dr. Sherri Worth feels she needs veneers on her front teeth, she needs to get rid of her puffy infected gums and she needs a soft feminine smile.
Debbie Siebers will train Cinnamon to give her a lean and feminine body.
Cinnamon's plan includes:
Face: A nose job and brow lift to soften her facial features.
Body: Breast augmentation, a tummy tuck, and liposuction in 4 different areas.
Dental: Zoom bleaching, extensive teeth reconstruction, DaVinci veneers and deep cleaning.
Fitness: 2 hours every day in the gym to define her body and weight training. Cardio to help lose weight and a 1200 a day diet to boost her metabolism.
Coaching: Weekly therapy to help her through the pain of her lost marriage and to build up her self esteem.
Next we meet Patti C.
At 42 is the oldest swan this year. She is a Computer Technician from New Caney, Texas. She is widowed from her first marriage. She is remarried and has children from her first marriage. She says she needs to feel beautiful again. She feels she lost 10 years of her life looking after her first husband, through his cancer and unfortunate death.
The Panel of Experts:
Dr. Dubrow feels she needs a face lift, breast augmentation, liposuction of her abdomen and body, Rhinoplasty and eyelid retraction.
Dr Lynn Ianni feels through therapy she will help Patti release the pain of her past.
Patti's Plan Includes:
Face: A lift, an eyelid refinement and a lower eyelift, and Lasik eye surgery
Body: Breast augmentation and liposuction in 5 different areas
Dental: Zoom bleaching, gum sculpting DaVinci veneers and deep cleaning.
Fitness: Two hours a day at the gym, along with high repetitions to build muscle and tone her arms and legs.
Coaching: Undergo weekly therapy to come to terms with the death of her first husband and regain her youthful spirit.
They both arrive in their rooms to find there are no mirrors. They spend time learning the rules of the program. They also go through a security check and Cinnamon is busted with packages of sugar and honey. Cinnamon is very enthusiastic and upbeat while Patti is quiet, but eager to start.
Patti meets with Dr Dubrow and they discuss her surgery; she just wants to get it done.
He says he is going to give her a facelift to make her 15 years younger. The procedure will soften her face and turn back the clock a little bit. She says she really needs it and doesn't want to think about it.
Patti has said her eyes are "always bugging out." She will undergo an eyelift procedure in which they lower the eyelid position. They bring in an Ocular specialist to perform this.
Her nose will have the cyst removed and the tip refined. She wants to come out the oldest, prettiest and sexiest.
