Last week I was sad to see Gus and Hera get eliminated. They were one of the few teams left I was still rooting for. Instead one of my least favorite teams (the wrestlers) is now in first place and let us not forget that Jonathan and Victoria are still with us. Could this be the week one of these annoying couples gets sent home? One can only hope.
Since Lori and Bolo were the first to arrive at the Pit Stop at 11:12 am they will be the first to depart at 11:12 pm. Teams must now make their way to the Neighborhood Promontor Borudvar and find the local winery. Once inside they must follow the marked path and find the 14,000 gallon wine cast. It is there they will find their next clue.
Lori and Bolo depart and for once don't get lost. They arrive at the winery only to find it doesn't open until 10 am. They settle down for the night. Since they had the Fast Forward, you would have thought they would have had a bigger lead but they don't.
Kris and Jon the next team to depart do so at 12:01 am only 49 minutes behind the wrestlers. It won't matter though; all the teams will once again be even since they will all have to wait to enter the winery.
The rest of the teams depart the Pit Stop at the following times:
Jonathan and Victoria: 12:02 am
Aaron and Hayden: 12:06 am
Adam and Becca: 12:07 am
Kendra and Freddy: 12:19 am
All the teams meet up at the winery and wait out the night.
It seems the alliance between Freddy and Kendra and Hayden and Aaron now has a name. The others call it the model alliance. Freddy is hoping that Hayden and Aaron will help him and Kendra gets out of last place. I wonder how long this alliance will last.
The next morning as soon as the doors open the teams rush inside. They all make their way to the huge cast and get the next clue. Teams must now fly 1300 miles to the city of Acacia on the Island of Corsica. Once there, teams must find the room in the house where Napoleon Bonaparte was born.
As some teams take off towards the airport, Kris and Jon stop at the local dog groomer to use the phone and get reservations for a flight. They book reservations on a 12:50 flight on Air France. Victoria and Jonathan meanwhile head to a travel agent. They buy tickets for a flight from Hungary to Lyon and then on to Corsica. Both teams finish up and head for the airport.
At the airport, the wrestlers are the first to arrive and get tickets on the same flight as Victoria and Jonathan. Adam and Becca, the next to arrive, try to book seats on the same flight. They are told the flight is sold out and that they should try Air France instead. As the two head toward Air France, Hayden and Aaron and Freddy and Kendra arrive.
All three teams book seats on the same flight as Kris and Jon. When Kris and Jon arrive they are told their reservations are no good and the flight is full. For a brief moment I saw those two getting eliminated and my whole season being ruined because no one I liked would win. Thankfully that nightmare ended when they finally did get their tickets.
All the teams are now in the air on their way to Corsica. The plane carrying the wrestlers and Jonathan and Victoria is the first to land at 6:40 pm. Jonathan thinks it might be a good idea to work with the wrestlers even though he finds them to be ignorant and beneath him. I don't like the wrestlers, but even I thought that was a bit much. Does this man have no integrity?
The two teams make their way to the house where Napoleon was born only to discover that it closed at 6 pm. They decide to head to the beach to sleep for the night. At 7:15 the plane carrying the rest of the teams lands. They also discover that the place is closed and go to get some rest. At 10 am the teams are ready to go as the doors open. Adam and Becca are the first to get in and receive the clue. They are surprised to discover the second Fast Forward.
This is the second and last Fast Forward on the race so Adam and Becca decide to go for it. In this Fast Forward teams must make their way to the harbor. Once there they must put on old style diving suits that weigh about 100 pounds and walk across the ocean bottom to the lobster trap. The clue is inside the trap. Both team members must make the walk before they can win.
Since Becca is a certified diver, she decides that they are going to do the Fast Forward. While those two head off to dive, the other teams get the next clue. Teams must now choose a marked car and drive 100 miles to Camp Rafalli, the boot camp for the French Foreign Legion. It is there they will find the next clue. Victoria and Jonathan oblivious to what goes on around them decide to go for the Fast Forward while the others head for the cars.
