Will Rupert Race? Don't Count Him Out
Report by Cari C.

With the success of Rob and Amber on season seven of TAR could more Survivor alums be far behind? A few months back the big rumor was that Rupert (Pearl Islands & All-stars) was going to appear with his family on the next season of TAR. Rupert denied the allegations and stated he had to much to do to be on the show.
Of course this is reality television so never count out anyone. According to Jonathan Baker (TAR 6), Rupert will in fact be on the new season. Now why in the world would we believe this guy? Surprisingly Jonathan is quite popular in the reality television world. In fact it is rumored that both he and his abused wife Victoria will be back again for the new "Battle of the Reality Television Stars" on Bravo. It wasn't bad enough that we had to put up with them on one show but now we have to put up with these two and Omarosa, Richard Hatch, Coral from Real World, and Real World Las Vegas's Trishelle as a host.
The thought of that is almost too much for one stomach to handle which means of course I will be watching it. Anyway, back to Rupert. Most people believed Rupert when he said that he did not want to be separated from his family again so he would never do another show like this. Yet when you go to his website and look at his appearance calendar, it states that he has no appearances during the month of July. Of course there are huge denials coming from Rupert and his camp. The time off is only for a much needed vacation they say.
So the question still remains, will Rupert be on TAR 8? I liked Rupert but I can honestly say I hope not. I don't want TAR to become a show known for giving 15 more minutes of fame to former reality contestants. I liked the show just fine before Allison, Rob or Amber. I guess we will all just have to wait to see what will happen but one can hope.
