Will You Be My Fantasy?
It's time to re-group and see where the priorities lie. That means it's time to go on fantasy dates with those that were not your significant others when you began this "incredible journey."
Heather, Frank and C.R.
It's the morning after the 5 minute reunion with Fearful Frank, and Heather is taking a walk along the beach with C.R. They are talking about the "sadness" she feels at seeing Frank and his inability to make the right move.
C.R. has his own thoughts about the matter. He believes that if Frank had bungee jumped, Heather might have fallen in love with him all over again. What is this? Kindergarten? Never mind that, C.R. tells Heather to pack her bags because he's whisking her off to San Francisco. She's excited because she's never been there and is looking forward to having fun with her alternate mate.
Frank is back at home and finally decides that he will make some big changes any day now. In fact, during his stalling technique on the bungee jumping platform, he had a moment of clarity-it came to him that he's crazy in love with Heather. Meanwhile, to ease his loneliness, he shoots plastic darts at "Eddie Munster" (his name for C.R.) which strikes me as strange. Why would there be a framed photograph of Heather and C.R. on the table? Let me guess--the producers placed it there while they directed the scene.
That does it. Frank has actually made a decision to move in with Heather. As he gets his meager belongings together, he breaks the news to his mother who is following him around while mentally wringing her hands. She wants to know what the plan is with him and Heather. Frank has been tied to her apron strings way too long. For a man of his age to feel that he is abandoning his parents is a bit ludicrous. Mom is trying to be accepting by saying she will always be there for him and he can count on her, but he thinks it'll be a shocker for the folks.
Now that he's taken the first step, he's ready for the next baby step. Frank is going shopping for a dresser and he finds exactly what he wants. I'm feeling a bit leery at this point. Should he be moving in while Heather is away? Apparently, when Frank is ready, there's no stopping him.
Heather is STILL talking about wanting Frank to propose on bended knee. Is that so much for a girl to ask? Heather still believes in the fairy tale, she's a very retro girl.
Friends drop in just as Frank gets the latest shipment of photos from south of the border. They all gather around and watch Heather have her endless yakety yak sessions with C.R. and they decide that she's having a good time. Frank is getting pissed off again. The friends are no better. They go right along with Frank and agree that she's enjoying herself while he's out toiling and buying a new dresser. Frank is now throwing darts at Heather's picture. The utter nerve! The producers are trying to make us reach the conclusion that Heather and Frank will break up. I'm not that naïve. I think they are trying to manipulate me. Am I right? It's all in the editing.
Back in Fantasyland, C.R. says that he "arranged" a great date for them in San Francisco. In fact, they'll be spending the night in the Penthouse Suite of the venerable Fairmont Hotel. There is a beautiful view of the city, but that's not all. They will get an even better view from the helicopter ride that they are about to be take. Get this, Heather is still saying that she wants more from Frank, and C.R. has made her realize that. Does she ever say anything else? After the flight, a picnic awaits them at Golden Gate Park. C.R. truly has treated her like a princess, which Heather appreciates so much. Not enough though to keep from still blabbing about Frank giving her "validation."
No matter what happens, C.R. and Heather pledge eternal love for one another. This is truly touching. I'm practically weeping. This show is wearing me out.
That night, Heather meets C.R. for dinner and swears that for once she's not even thinking about Frank. After dinner, they have dessert out on the terrace and they share a magic kiss or two. Nothing passionate like we're used to on the slobbering "Bachelor" or "For Love or Money" but just sweet nice kisses. She thanks him for the lovely way he's treated her and everything becomes clear to Heather and what she must do. Of course, she's not sharing that information with us, despite everything she's put us through.
Amber, Diego and Roy
The day starts off well for Amber when Roy shows up at her door with a breakfast tray. She's determined to put Diego's one minute visit behind her. It's time to move on. Yessiree. Well, girl, get your stuff together because you're headed for lovely Santa Barbara with Roy while Diego is back in Burlington grousing about his fate.
At first, he was very excited to get back to Burlington and tell the folks about his visit to Cabo and his Dad is not sure he wants to hear anymore. However, Diego describes his change of heart about Roy and how he now perceives him to be a nice guy. His mini-visit with Amber was "rewarding" and "intimate" and he is determined to give her what she deserves before she ends up with Roy.
