It's All About the Band
I have not yet seen the show, but I did peruse Heather Ballentine's website. In it, she candidly admits that she puts her band first and foremost. She and Frank decided to go on the show in order to get some exposure. So was it all a scam? Was their relationship on the verge of breaking up? Was Frank as much of an indecisive jerk as he appeared to be and did C.R. ever have a real chance?
Here are some direct quotes from Heather's website:" I love them both, Frank and C.R.," Ballentine said, looking down at her supper plate with a grin. "Frank and I went into this show knowing that the band was the most important thing. We have this understanding, and no matter what happens on the show, we will stay friends. The same goes for C.R."
In further news, BBAN has just signed Heather to a recording contract for the band's first CD called "4U."
Amber also has her own website on which she sells her artwork. So you can own an original Amber Rood and show it off to your friends who will be dumbfounded at your hipness. She even has some photographs of herself and one of them almost shows that she's not a shy girl.
Quick Refresher Course
It all began with four couples, Brandon and Kenesha. He had to prove his fidelity to her but couldn't even hold out after one day in Cabo. Kenesha didn't hang around after that and her pride was left in tact.
Trust was an issue for Carolyn as Jayre caroused with three hoochies south of the border, but he finally saw the light and returned to his one true love. He only needs one woman and for now it appears to be Carolyn.
Amber was trapped between her relationship with Diego and her desire for adventure and her hopes for a career in art. As we all learned last week, there are no art galleries in Burlington, so she's better off in the big city. How will this play out?
Heather once again casts herself as the lead in "Pretty Woman" as she keeps on reiterating that she wants that fairytale ending. The big issue with Frank was commitment which he appeared to be terrified of in word and deed.
Our last journey (that much overused word, especially on this show) will take us to the bittersweet end. After that, we will revisit each couple 5 months later and see what ultimately happened.
Heather and Frank
Frank is so eager to make a good impression on Heather that he goes out to get a hair trim and to buy fabulous attire for the big day. When he returns home, a private video message from Heather awaits. In it, she tells him that when it all began she didn't think she could go through with it. However, she has grown and changed so much that she wants more than a new roommate in Frank, she wants a serious commitment. Dammit, Frank, be a man about things and tell her if you're still not ready to take that all-important step, which means so much to Heather. What is it she wants again? Oh yeah, a serious commitment.
Frank is not pleased with Heather's pushing him further than he's ready to go. After all, he made the huge sacrifice to move out of his parents' home at 30 years of age and move in to Heather's apartment in her absence. How much more does he have to do? Frank has not cooled down yet and makes his own video containing a rather harsh message for Heather. In essence, here is what he said. She has disrespected him and betrayed him by telling C.R. about personal things. Besides that, she has an overbearing personality and their relationship is 75% - 25%. I'm guessing that he's attributing the 75% to Heather and I'm inferring that she is dominating the relationship. However, Frank goes on to say that he has become stronger and has found himself. After all, he's already made the decision to move in with her but he's not sure where this is heading.
Upon viewing this video, Heather goes all bi-polar and turns into a different personality. She has just realized that Frank is not the right guy for her. She's DONE. She's OVER IT. Can we even believe this girl?
Heather is ready to confront Frank and communicate all her desires and wishes. She is after all, a hopeless romantic, an optimist, and perhaps even stupid for loving someone who will never come around. She goes on to say that now all hope is gone for a romantic reunion. She can't think of anything that he could do to make her want a life with him. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
