One of these 15 performers will become the new lead singer of INXS, an international renowned band from Australia that lost it's lead singer in 1997. This show is not an attempt to replace Michael Hutchence, but an attempt to find a lead singer who can take the band in a new direction.

The purpose of this show goes beyond finding the best talent, but is more specifically looking for someone who will work well with the current members of INXS. The winner will be a balance of many factors.

The audience in many countries will have the opportunity to vote. Some countries have the choice between online voting and text messaging, while a few can only vote by text message. People can vote as many times as they like for four hours. The countries that can vote include the United States, Australia, Canada, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Indonesia.

The bottom three based on audience vote will then perform again on the Wednesday result show, and the band will then pick the contestant who they feel should go home. While I am personally comfortable with either gender for the lead singer, there are many fans who do not feel comfortable with a female lead singer for INXS and this could have a major impact on voting in the future weeks.
