Having had a little time to sort things out, even the final voting of this season's Nashville Star was fairly predictable. In the end the producers got what they wanted; a highly marketable, FEMALE talent whose career path will be relatively easy to mold (hopefully not manipulate). The other two top finalists' styles and career paths are "set in stone" and would have been very difficult to change. All the contestants that finished in the top half will sell albums; and will have careers in the country music industry. As far as the extent of their popularity, we will have to wait and see. Maybe next year or the following we will write a "where are they now" piece. The traveling Nashville Star group will fill seats and put on a quality show, especially if they bring along the 7th place finisher. But something tells me Tamika may have bigger and better plans!!!
