American Idol: Who Survives? Who Goes Home? The Top 11
Predictions by The Reality TV Calendar Staff

Each week the staff of Reality TV Calendar predicts who will survive and who will be going home.
Last week only RTVC Editor Ron Lemon correctly predicted that Karen would go home. Can we do better this week?
We so have a great record of predicting who is going home each week. But last week? Not so much.
Keep in mind that American Idol is not all about talent. It's not all about the best performance.
It is also about the vote and the voting blocks.
Who will be popular?
Who will get votes because they're cute, have a great personality or a compelling story?
Who will the tweens vote for? What about the granny's? The southern block?
We think about all these factors and more when we make our predictions and then we take our best guess. We often disagree. But we almost always nail it.
We'll see how we do this year.
Our predictions are below. We'd like to know what you think. You can post your thoughts at the end.
Here's our predictions and comments for last night's performance show and how America voted.

I was simply blown away by James Durbin's version of that classic. From the moment he walked on stage he owned the house. He still owned it as the credits rolled. That is what a performer does. That is what a star does.
And the rest of the show, with a couple of exceptions, was pretty damn good as well. I continue to be impressed with the overall quality of this season's contestants. This is what American Idol is supposed to be all about.
Before I get to the predictions I want to take a moment to thank the Gods of Music that "Scotty McCreary Sings Stevie Wonder" is an album that will never be produced. I love Scotty. I think he will be one of the final two and may win it. But Motown just ain't his thing. And that's cool, I don't think Stevie would do well with "Ackey Breaky Heart".
