American Idol: Who Survives? Who Goes Home? The Top 9
Predictions by The Reality TV Calendar Staff
April 7, 2010
Each week the staff of Reality TV Calendar watches American Idol and predicts who will survive and who will be going home.

Last week none of us got them both right although Matt and C.C. both predicted that Naima was gone.

To be honest we are not doing as well this season as we usually do. That's okay, it just means we have an extremely talented group of Idols this year. Makes it a lot harder to predict.

Keep in mind that American Idol is not all about talent. It's not all about the best performance.

It is also about the vote and the voting blocks.

Who will be popular?

Who will get votes because they're cute, have a great personality or a compelling story?

Who will the tweens vote for? What about the granny's? The southern block?

We think about all these factors and more when we make our predictions and then we take our best guess. We often disagree. But we almost always nail it.

We'll see how we do this year.

Our predictions are below. We'd like to know what you think. You can post your thoughts at the end.

David Price Pia Toscano - "River Deep Mountain High" Stefano Langone Paul McDonald
Matt C. Haley Reinhart - "Piece Of My Heart" Jacob Lusk Stefano Langone

Now I am going to get myself some haters. I don't care, I can live with it and this needs to be said.

Last night Jacob Lusk proved to me that he is no Idol. I was seriously offended and I suspect a lot of the voters were as well.

Jacob tells us that a tender ballad about a man making love to woman is simply not up to his moral standards and he doesn't want to sing it. Well, okay I think that is rather prudish and prissy but he has a right to his beliefs. Although I thought it was a good song choice for his voice.

But then he goes out on stage and.....
