American Idol Recap: A Winner Of A Night - But Who Survives?

Will the Holliepops
save her?
The American Idol Top 5 is usually a good round.

You are down to 5 and for the most part it’s the best 5 for one reason or another.

While I think last night would have been even better had Elsie still been here, it was for my money, of which I have little, the best night of the season and one of the top 5 nights of all time.

The only thing that kept this from clearly being the best of all time is some suspect song choices.

But even the suspect choices were sung very well.

Got thoughts? Post them at the end.

We did have a real moment on the show but it as usual went mostly unnoticed by the judges as I will point out later.

If one could win based on how much they have progressed during the competition Hollie should win.

But that crazy ass gender thing and having a great voice will hold her back. Great start to the night.
Grade A

Phillip: “The Letter”
I remember back in season 7 some guy with and English accent sing this with a girl who had an Irish accent and they rocked it. But they did sing the original arrangement.

I am not a big fan of Phillip but this was great.

The arrangement actually.....
