Could there be a
fianle without her?
Making the American Idol Top 5 is a major accomplishment.
Maybe not as much as top 4 but a great Idol accomplishment all the same.
Am I surprised by who is left? Somewhat.
But couldn’t really expect my favorites or even the best singers to be here right now.
But even though my favorite is not still here, the best singer is and I can hang my hat on that.

We got one of our bottom 2 right in our poll. Skylar but no Phillip. And Hollie was least likely to be in the bottom in our poll.
I have to admit my DVR screwed up and I didn’t even see how the first 30 minutes went tonight but I did see Hollie on the stool and I feared for her safety.
When Jessica and Skylar came up to bat I had a bad feeling about Jessica because of Jimmie’s comments about “Proud Mary”. I hope Jessica learns from that and starts taking the mentor’s advice.
But I will stand by my assessment of Jessica’s “You Are So Beautiful” as one of the top 5 greats of season 11.
I am a great admirer of What Not To Sing. I value and use their information always. They are invaluable. But I have to strongly disagree with the 72 score for “You Are So Beautiful”.
And yes by disagreeing with that score I am disagreeing with the vast legions of on line Idol judges. I have to believe the majority of her dislike on that song was more than just her performance.
Jessica like all other really great Idol singers get their share of haters. Even last night’s guest Carrie Underwood had her share during her season. Does the word fembot ring any bells?
But sorry Carrie fans, and I am one, Carrie never sang as brilliantly as Jessica has.
Can’t argue with her post Idol career but her Idol career was nowhere close to the level of Jessica’s.
But Jessica is safe and that is not only good for me it’s important and good for the show. The final needs her and needs her bad.
Skylar has never been on my favorites list so I could take her or leave her. She even at her best reminds me of a high schooler singing. Sorry fans that’s just the feel I get from her.
