American Idol Recap: America Sets Up A Great Finale! Recap and Commentary by Idolhead Ed
May 18, 2012
I was not really a fan of Adam or even Kris for that matter (Allison was mine) but he is so polished he doesn’t look like a former Idol singing “Georgia Peaches” if you get my drift.
I rather enjoyed this performance.
Up next for review is the presumed winner of season 11 Phillip.
Jimmie just about as much said so.
I can’t agree with his assessment of “We’ve Got the Night” I guess I’m the only one who thought this was sleepy.
Well get ready for my prediction.
Time for the results. All three stand center field with Ryan.
As usual Ryan will announce the first person in the final.
And that person is ……..Jessica! Hell yeah!
She looks stunned.
And Joshua just crapped his pants because he knows what’s coming next.
And the person joining Jess in the final is……Phillip.
Well there’s no shock. And if they wanted a little tension they should have put Phillip as the first one in the final.
That would have been a bit more exciting don’t you think?
Joshua sings out with “It’s a Man’s World” right after he watches for one second his funeral video.
While I was watching the funeral vid for the first time I really got the feeling Joshua would be really fun to hang with. I never got that during his run.
He seemed to be just kind of boring personality- wise.
Well he’s not really going anywhere because on Wednesday he’ll be back for the finale.
My brief thoughts on the final...
From the beginning of the season it seemed Jessica would be here but her top 7 elimination was a big surprise.
It seemed her momentum was gone.
Seeing this one would wonder what would have happened last year if this save had been around for Pia.
For sure Jess wasn’t the same after that elimination but the last few weeks she came back.
And by making the final she has set another Idol record by moving one step closer to a win by an eliminated Idol.
