Nicole
Previously on America's Next Top Model, the 13th season began with 14 girls, all of them 5' 7" and under.
The first exit of the season came even before the competition began when one finalist, Amber, dropped out and was replaced by Lisa.
The girls received immediate makeovers before moving into their model house. The first photo shoot involved putting an editorial slant on old baby photos.
At judging panel, Rae was called first and though Bianca showcased a bad attitude, Lisa was eliminated for being unmemorable.
Thirteen girls are left, but two will be going home over the course of this episode. Who will they be? Let's find out.
On the ride home from panel, Bianca recognizes that it was her attitude that got her in trouble and decides to take that as a warning. Good call, Bianca. Did you come to that conclusion yourself? Maybe you could've thought of that sooner. Rachel is shocked to go from Wal-Mart cashier to prospective model. At the house, Courtney is sick of her broken foot and takes off the boot.
Tyra Mail: "Your career will be short if you don't measure up. -Love, Tyra"
Ummm, not to argue semantics, but aren't their careers always going to be short? Yeah yeah yeah, it's a bad joke, but it's my article and I felt like making it.

At the agency, Nigel introduces the girls to president Sean Patterson. Nigel and Sean stress the importance of making a good impression before sending the girls in for interviews with Sean.
Lulu is first and she says she loves fashion. When Sean asks her for a favorite photographer, she can't name one and says she doesn't pay attention to that stuff. Umm, first of all, if you say you love fashion, but you can't name any photographers, designers, or models, that doesn't look good on you. Second, Nigel is sitting right there! At least go for the easy sell and name him. The caption with his name even flashes his occupation to remind us of this fact. Too bad Lulu doesn't get it.
Courtney is next and she's asked to give a runway walk. Nigel tells us that at panel, he wasn't sure if Courtney would stand out, in general, but he's pleasantly surprised that she does. Sean is proud of her for pushing through the pain. Jennifer tells us that she has an eye condition where her left eye doesn't have the full range of motion. She hopes it won't hurt her in the competition. Nigel and Sean discuss her lazy eye and wonder if she can have a career.
Rachel is asked if she has any.....
