America's Next Top Model: Long Way Down Commentary by RTVC Staff Writer Michael Pascua

Her's to win?
On this week's America's Next Top Model two girls were eliminated after Alisha quit and Eboni was eliminated.
There's one positive that Tyra seems to have built in a quitter's clause where the number of episodes isn't affected.
It probably meant that next week if Alisha stayed, there would have been a double elimination similar to Cycles 13 and 14.
There is something off about the intensity of Tyra Banks' competition when this season had two girls quit and one (Kyle) on the verge of quitting.
I get that this is not a real-world experience for models but more of an extreme version so that the time any of the girls make it out into the real world, they would understand the requirements and drive needed to be a model.
Got thoughts? Post them at the end.
When Tyra is breaking girls down it calls for two things, either there is a very odd casting process where Tyra allows weaker people into the competition or the more likely fact that Tyra is pushing too hard.
We know that there is at least 50 frames generally for a photoshoot (though I believe for the tower shoot this week, Sophie probably took less), but I really wished that we could see the top three and bottom three photos for each girl, then we could have a rounded out decision on how the girls really looked.
There is such a thing as a multipage advertisement or even one that uses multiple shots on one page.
If these girls had the opportunity to actually see their weaknesses, they could improve but still maintain a strong portfolio.
This will probably never happen, even with Tyra having a full overhaul next season without Jay and Nigel.
Laura had been the only frontrunner for the Americans for a while and this week while she continued to be a little bit crazy and overtly sexual the whole episode, she not only got best photo, but also won a chance to be in Nicholas Tse's music video.
I thought it was fitting that she zagged in the photoshoot.
All the other girls had poses that almost denoted strength, tying in with the martial arts they have learned this week and Laura created a shot that was elegant and really model-like.
