Early lead.
I’m going to start off by saying how excited I am to be covering America's Next Top Model!
It is one of my favorite shows,my guiltiest of guilty pleasures, and although I am a week late in starting, I have some high hopes for this season.
The fact that most of the British girls were runners up in Britain’s Next Top Model means there are going to be some good photos.
More importantly, the walk-offs in the season premiere showed that for the first time in a long time, some of the girls can actually walk!
However, one thing is really starting to irk me about this season. It’s like all of the girls have forgotten that, ultimately, this is an individual competition.
Both the American and the British girls are talking as if this is a team competition.

Listen girls, I get that you want to represent your nations, but there’s only room for one girl on that cover.
I hope that all of the girls start worrying a little less about what flag they are playing for and more about making it to the end.
One final thought before I get on to my first rankings of the season.
Why are the producers making the American girl’s out to be so narrow minded? I mean no offense, but hearing the girls talk about the “foreign land” of Great Britain,
I almost laugh out loud. Britain is not that different the United States, minus the accents.
Just a thought, but maybe there should be a little more emphasis placed on the sharing of cultures than the divisions between it.
But then again, who am I to argue with Tyra? Let’s begin!
