The Bachelor: Ben And The Girls Get Sonomafied

In the latest episode of “The Bachelor,” the girls head to the beautiful town of Sonoma, where they discover a common love of the sport of Blakeley-bashing.
Ben wants the girls to see Sonoma so they will understand it’s a big part of his life.
Translation: he ain’t moving, if you want to be Mrs. Ben, you’d better love Sonoma and what Emily calls the “Sonomaified Ben.”
In a change of pace from the usual date boxes, Ben bravely announces the first one-on-one himself, with no drama: it’s Kacie B.!

Courtney hopes Kacie won’t come home, while Kacie says it might be the first date with the man she will marry.
Kacie has Sonomafied herself for the date, and Ben seems to like her shorts and cowboy boots.
They have a comfortable, cute date, walking down the empty streets, twirling batons, and playing piano.
Ben sees her as a down-home girl, and she compares Sonoma to Mayberry, a comparison I’m sure winemakers all over the valley will start to use.
They eat at a cute little restaurant and watch a private screening of home movies in which Child-Ben attempts to rock a bow tie.
Ben gets very emotional over his dad, who died a few years ago, and Kacie is sympathetic. They kiss, and Ben says everything was good.
In real life, this date would be a good start.
The two might text in a day or two, go to a real movie, and continue the baton twirling lessons.
Soon they’d have a real relationship, and Ben would have a backup career in case the whole wine thing doesn’t work out.
But on The Bachelor, Kacie B. has something working against her: a serious lack of crazy.
She sounds sweet and reasonably intelligent. The date was cute. The other girls like her.
She showed no sign of major trust issues or a questionable past.
In fact, she seems like the perfect girl for The Bachelor: Mayberry.
Too bad Sonoma is not as much like Mayberry as she thinks.
Next up is the group date, which involves Blakeley and a whole lot of girls who don’t like Blakeley.
