The Bachelor: Emily Digs Her Own Grave - Here's The Rankings
Rankings and Commentary by RTVC Senior Staff Writer Joseph Braverman

Speaking of heinous, let's turn to her Highness, Queen of the Roses, Courtney!

Unlike last season’s Michelle -- who I always defended and thought was misunderstood -- Courtney really has no qualms about being blunt, mean, and brutal.

And yet, there is still a part of me who kind of wants to root for Courtney alongside her BFF, Casey S.

It could be the fact that Casey S. happens to be incredibly attractive and I cannot see her liking a vile person, but the fact remains is that I do find Courtney somewhat fascinating in spite of her vapidity.

Color me blind, dumb, and a fool. That doesn’t mean it’s any less fun loving to hate her, because at the end of the day, that is what a successful villain makes you feel.

After all hell broke loose once Emily decided to dig her own grave, jump in it, and leave Courtney and Ben the shovel, Courtney decided to “defend herself.” Wow, Courtney, I never knew you had it in you!

Courtney made a forced evil laugh whenever Emily said something, and Emily was left pondering her misfortune and crying on confessionals and to momma bear, Monica, who really seems to have been in this show for the ladies more so than the main dude, Ben, I am fully convinced.

Emily knew her inside conversation with Ben was out in public since Casey S. decided to fess up to Emily’s admittance of telling Ben her true inclinations about Courtney.

Speaking of Ben, did we see that anger in him again tonight like when Ashley dumped him not too long ago?

I kind of like when people get angry, but unlike Brad and Jake, Ben’s anger doesn’t seem random and borderline-scary. He seems like a genuine person who gets easily frustrated, like any human being would who is just looking to weed through the fields of dating war to find true love.

I liked his letdown of Samantha, who definitely played her cards way too late.

I do think she was there to find love, but the way she went about it was self-sabotaging to the point where Ben thought her antics and emotional drama was a cry to get out while she still could.

Even though that was not her intention, the damage had been done, and she was sent packing.

Before I wrap up things in the rankings, I want to briefly mention how besides Nicki, Jennifer is almost becoming my favorite.

Unlike Kasie B., who is growing increasingly annoying in that Tenley/Disney Princess type of way, Jennifer knows how much to give and how much to pull back.

Jennifer knows she can win Ben over with kiss and tongue alone, but she actually got to know him a bit before jumping on him, and I have to respect her for that.

She is my kind of woman, and she is getting more beautiful the more I see her.

I just wonder if Ben is as smitten by her as I am. I think he thinks she is too good to be true or maybe once the kissing honeymoon ends, she’ll be a boring housewife.

Got thoughts? Post them at the end.

In any event, I think this relationship could go either well or poorly depending on how the next few episodes go.

Here are the rankings for the remaining eleven ladies:
