The Bachelorette: We Hear From Wes' Girlfriend And It Gets Even Better

Laurel Kagay, the girl who Bachelorette’s Wes was allegedly still dating despite him being on the show, is speaking out. The drama between Wes, Jillian Harris and jilted bachelor Jake unfolded on this week’s episode of Bachleorette.
It began earlier in the season when several guys acknowledged hearing Wes say he still had a girlfriend and is only on the show to promote his career. Tanner P. was the first to tell Jillian one of her guys had a girlfriend back at home. Jillian confronted the men but no one stepped up.
After being booted at a rose ceremony, Jake returned to the show just before Jillian was set to meet Wes’ family. Jake said that Wes, on several occasions, admitted he still had a girlfriend and her name was Laurel. When confronted, Wes denied it and Jillian believed him.
After watching the show on Monday, Laurel tells People magazine she was shocked at the accusations. She insists she and Wes are only “good friends” who often have dinner together.
“I was like, ‘What?’ There was this pause before he said my name — and then he said it quite a few times,” she says. “I’m absolutely not with Wes, nor would I be with Wes if he were going on a show to be with another girl. That’s absolutely crazy.”
So how would Jake get the impression that Wes was still dating someone? “I think he was definitely upset about not being on the show anymore. And I think Wes did say something about his ex-girlfriend. Maybe he said he still cares about me or whatever. Maybe he talked a little too much about me, and Jake just blew that into something else,” Laurel says.
Wes isn’t the only man in the Bachelor franchise that Laurel has dated. She reveals that she dated Bachelor Brad Womack, famous for not choosing a girl at the end of his season, for 4 years.
