The Bachelorette: Ranking The Remaining Five

Jillian Harris, age 29, from Canada, is the latest bachelorette on ABC’s The Bachelorette Show. She supervises projects in both Canada and United States. She was the third runner-up on The Bachelor show that featured Jason Mesnick. Now it is her turn to pick. She started with 30 guys and now there are five remaining guys.
I have no idea what Jillian really wants, but I think it is a lot of fun to try to read between the lines, pieces together what I hope are clues, and make my best guess. I love playing armchair matchmaker for Jillian, but ultimately I hope Jillian stays true to her gut and finds someone that can make it last with her after the show is long over. In a few cases, my rankings reflect more of my opinion of how I think that Jillian should rank them. Wes has been in last place for several weeks and Wes will continue to be in last place until he is eliminated.
I have also ranked Michael higher in previous lists than what I think Jillian would rank them based on the fact that I think Michael is a good match for her. Well, at least on paper. I love making lists, and I made a list of every trait that Jillian said she wanted and separately made lists of the traits that I thought each of the bachelors had. To my surprise, Michael won and he has held strong through the season. It really is a silly thing to do, especially on a show that is so highly edited, but it did get me to pay more attention to Michael and to start to think Michael may really be a good match. My heart sank this week when Jillian mentioned Michael being younger than her as a barrier for being physical for him. I personally don’t think that age should be that big of a barrier. I had feared from the beginning that age was an issue. I actually think Michael would be a frontrunner if not for the age issue.
Reid was my pick based on the instant and amazing chemistry that he had with Jillian from the start. Since this show has in previous seasons, downplayed the actual winner, Reid seemed the most logical choice for a darkhorse winner this season. Jesse is another contender that has slowly emerged toward the top. How weird would it be if a guy named Jesse won the Bachelorette for two straight seasons? I have this vibe that Kiptyn is going to be the next bachelor and not the winner, but Kiptyn could still win it.
While I have tried my best to avoid and ignore spoilers and rumors, there is a potential spoiler that will really mess up my rankings next week if it turns out to be true. I wish I had not accidently heard the spoiler because now I feel affected by it. These rankings really have been my overanalysis of the editing and sometimes my wishful thinking. I actually have done better than I thought I would have. I had Wes in last place based on principles, but I was not surprised that he made it another week.
However, ranked right above Wes for last week was Robby, Jake, and Tanner. These were the guys that were actually eliminated this week. I have taken some negative comments about ranking Reid and Michael really high, especially early on, however both of have made the top 5 contestants. I have not been that far off in my rankings. I want to believe that Wes is finally eliminated next, which would mean they made the top 4 by default then.
Reid
Current Ranking: 1 Previous Ranking: 1
I still am really going completely out on a limb, but I am holding on to Reid as a pick for the near end, and I could still easily see him winning this season. He and Jillian have amazing chemistry together and Reid seems to be the only bachelor that can bridge the gap between what Jillian says she wants and what I think that Jillian really wants in a man.
Kiptyn

He has always had really great natural chemistry with Jillian. I keep thinking that Kiptyn is being set up to be a potential future bachelor, which makes me think that he is not to win and that he is going to come in second place. This show could fool me.
Jesse
Current Ranking: 3 Previous Ranking: 4
He has been slowly building up in the editing and had a great date with Jillian last week. I have no reason not consider him a potential winner at this point.
Michael
Current Ranking: 4 Previous Ranking: 3
I have been attached to Michael as a pick for Jillian; mainly because I think that Michael seems to be a good match for Jillian. My heart sank when Jillian admitted that Michael being younger than her is a barrier for her. He made it to the hometown dates, but I fear that the age issue will unfortunately win out in the end.
Wes
Current Ranking: 5 Previous Ranking: 8
I really hope that next week is the last week for Wes. He has been clear that he is only using the show to promote his career and CD, and that he is not there for Jillian. I have had him in last place for several weeks based on principle. It is past time for Wes to be eliminated.
