The Bachelorette: Ranking The Remaining Four
Rankings by RTVC Staff Writer Gayl Killough

Jillian Harris, age 29, from Canada, is the latest bachelorette on ABC’s The Bachelorette Show. She supervises projects in both Canada and United States. She was the third runner-up on The Bachelor show that featured Jason Mesnick. Now it is her turn to pick. She started with 30 guys and now there are four remaining guys.
This is all my over analysis and wishful thinking. I really have no idea what Jillian really wants, but I think it is a lot of fun to try to read between the lines, pieces together what I hope are clues, and make my best guess. I love playing armchair matchmaker for Jillian, but ultimately I hope Jillian stays true to her gut and finds someone that can make it last with her after the show is long over.
In a few cases, my rankings reflect more of my opinion of how I think that Jillian should rank them. Wes has been in last place for several weeks and Wes will continue to be in last place until he is eliminated. I still strongly feel that Wes will ultimately be eliminated and will not win.
I am really very sad to see Michael eliminated, more so than any other bachelor. Starting with the first episode, I had made a list of every trait that Jillian said she wanted and separately had made lists of the traits for each of the bachelors. To my surprise, Michael won the list match and he held strong through the season. It really is a silly thing to do, especially on a show that is so highly edited, but I think I attached myself to Michael this season because of my list. My heart sank last week when Jillian mentioned Michael being younger than her as a barrier for being physical for him. What if Michael really was the best match for Jillian and she let chronological age get in the way? Jillian seemed afraid to let herself fall for Michael. I honestly don't think that Michael was too young for Jillian. I personally don’t think that age should be that big of a barrier in either direction. I was prepared to see him go this week, but I still can't help but think Michael would have been a frontrunner if not for the age issue.
I was also really sad to see Jesse go. I was really starting to crush on Jesse a little bit during the hometown date. On a very shallow personal note, I am really going to miss seeing Jesse on my television screen, especially when I have to watch Wes instead next week. I also feel like Jesse deserved to be there more than Ed too.
Reid has been my pick based on the instant and amazing chemistry that he had with Jillian from the start. Since this show has in previous seasons, downplayed the actual winner, Reid seemed the most logical choice for a dark horse winner this season. However, if I would have known that a contestant leaves the show and comes back, I might not have been so certain about Reid in my predictions. I can see Ed winning this season, but I am not convinced that Ed will win either. Ed coming back blows a huge hole in all of my theories for prediction.
I have this vibe that Kiptyn is edited be the a potential future bachelor and not the winner, but Kiptyn could still win it. There are several negatives that make me think that Kiptyn will not win such as Jillian calling his family perfect and being upset earlier that Kiptyn has not has his heart broken.
I can’t imagine Kipytn not being in the finale at this point, but I see either Reid or Ed winning. Therefore, I am ranking Kiptyn in third place after Reid and Ed. Wes is in last place by default.
Reid
Current Ranking: 1         Previous Ranking: 1
I am going to stay out on the limb that I have been for the majority of the season, and keep Reid in first place. The show really likes to hide the winner, and the show has really gone out of its way to hide Reid. I also am picking Reid somewhat by default because I am not convinced that Ed will win, I have a vibe that Kipytn is not the winner, and there is no way that I would even consider Wes. So that leaves Reid as my first choice. He and Jillian have amazing chemistry together, they remind me the most of a real couple, and Reid seems to be the only bachelor that can bridge the gap between what Jillian says she wants and what I think that Jillian really wants in a man. Plus their careers could fit very well together and I think that helps in the real world once the show is over.
Ed
Current Ranking: 2         Previous Ranking: Quit
Ed convinces Jillian to let him rejoin the competition. While I can strongly relate to Ed having to put work first, and I did feel sorry for him, I really don't like that Ed is back in the competition. It is really hard for me to be objective about him. I don't trust Ed at this point. I am not convinced that Ed will win, but I am not so sure that he won't win either.
Kiptyn
Current Ranking: 3         Previous Ranking: 2
He has always had really great natural chemistry with Jillian, but they seem superficially perfect. I have this vibe that things are going to fall apart. Jillian has said that Kipytn's family was too perfect and that she was very worried that he had never had a broken heart before in earlier episodes. Maybe the show is trying to lead me astray and it is working, but I am going to stick with my impression of the editing that Kiptyn will not win. I also keep thinking that Kiptyn is being set up to be a potential future bachelor.
Wes
Current Ranking: 4         Previous Ranking: 5
I still don't believe that he will win, so he has to be eliminated at some point. On principle alone, I am keeping him last place where he has been for several weeks now. While it is very possible that the editing makes him look a lot worse than he is, I don't believe that Wes's negative points can all be attributed to editing. Wes has been clear that he is only using the show to promote his career and CD, and that he is not there for Jillian. It is really past time for Wes to be eliminated and it is a shame that several guys that really seemed to like Jillian were eliminated before him.
