The Bachelorette: No Sex In Charlotte

They proved it!
Channel News 9’s chopper has breaking news from Charlotte: The Bachelorette is filming here!
This clip from the local ABC affiliate would have made more sense at the beginning of last week’s episode, but maybe it’s just because The Bachelorette is no longer permitted to have a helicopter-free episode.
Last week, Kalon aka Chopper Man provided the helicopter.
This week, we open with a brief aerial view of the city that has nothing to do with actual filming of the show.
And, oh yeah, Kalon, Channel 9’s chopper is bigger than yours.
For the viewers who missed last week’s episode, Tragic Single Mom Emily confirms that they are indeed filming in Charlotte.
Got thoughts? Post them at the end.
She’s happy, because it’s where she is comfortable and it’s her town.
It’s also a chance for the guys to see where they would be living if they propose to Emily, because it doesn’t sound like Emily plans on relocating.
Just to show how normal and un-Hollywood this season of The Bachelorette is, TSM Emily meets her friends for some girl talk.
It’s bottled water at a picnic table instead of mojitos at a New York club. The Bachelorette may film in Charlotte, but Sex and the City never would.
At the bachelor mansion, Chris Harrison explains the rules of group and single dates, and Ryan gets the first individual date: “Be my king in Queen City.”
My intensive research reveals that Queen City is, in fact, Charlotte!
Where The Bachelorette is filming!
For those of you who want an actual factoid (although in that case, why are you watching The Bachelorette?), the city was named after Queen Charlotte in an effort to suck up to her husband King George III, back when the colonies were starting to complain about Britaincare.
Ryan and his manly chin are thrilled with the date. He may not know that the guy/girl on the first individual date NEVER wins.
He quotes his pastor about treating a woman like a queen and gets ready for the hot air balloon or private jet or whatever thrilling date ABC has planned.
