The Bachelorette: Is Emily Ryan's Trophy Wife? Is Doug's Grandpa Clueless?

On the latest episode of The Bachelorette, Emily and the guys travel to the gorgeous island of Bermuda.
We see Emily walking the beach with Ricki and talking about coming back someday with a husband and a baby carriage, and the guys arrive at their hotel looking all manly, well Euro-manly, on scooters.
The first date is a one-on-one with Doug. The date card reads, “Let our senses lead the way.”
This card sounds like it may lead into a more typical Bachelorette date, like an aroma massage or something, but no, it’s wandering the small shops and making their own perfume.

But before the date starts, the guys mess with Doug. Doug seems nervous and not confident he’ll come back with the rose.
The other guys want to increase his nervousness, and Arie is the ringleader. Doug starts to get mad, but Emily arrives before anything happens.
After they leave, we see Arie compare Doug to the Hulk: Doug angry! Doug smash! Doug sad!
Arie may have a point about Doug’s temper, but I don’t really like this side of Arie. He’s still cute, though.
Emily keeps saying how comfortable she is with Doug and how easily they seem to fit together.
She brings out a postcard for them to write to Doug’s son in answer to the letter that got his dad the first impression rose.
They make wishes through a Moon Gate, and Emily tells us she wishes she wouldn’t be single forever.
In the past viewers have questioned whether some bachelors and bachelorettes were ready to get married. Emily seems ready.
Whether you like the new kid-friendly Bachelorette or not, I totally believe she is doing some serious husband-hunting.
Doesn’t mean she’ll actually find Mr. Right or that she won’t change her mind if the show leads to show biz, but right now, she’s dead serious about finding love.
So at dinner, she proceeds to grill Doug. He can’t be as perfect as he seems.
