The Bachelorette: Emily Checks Her Baggage
Commentary by RTVC Staff Writer Romantic Rose

Dad or pal?
On this week’s episode of The Bachelorette, Emily and the bachelors travel to London, an old city with a lot of history, as Emily tells us.
Yes, London is indeed a historical place with lots of history ‘n stuff.
It’s also about to host the 2012 Olympics, but there’s no need to mention them, since they won’t be broadcast on ABC.
When I heard London was the next stop on Emily’s international quest for love, the date possibilities that came to mind were Shakespeare-themed, London Bridge or Tower of London, and War of the Roses.
Got thoughts? Post them at the end.
What a great chance to have two teams of guys duke it out with swords for date time with Emily.
In fact, now that the Bachelor franchise is branching out into other shows like Bachelor Pad, War of the Roses would be a perfect addition to the list.
Contestants could be chosen from different districts and through trial by combat decide which bachelor-knight is worthy of the bachelorette’s rose. T
his selection could hardly have a lower success rate than the current one.
Fortunately for us, the guys left their scooters and knee socks in Bermuda.
Chris Harrison meets the guys in Trafalgar Square and tells them there will be two one-on-ones and one group date. Sean gets the first one-on-one. It’s about time!
Sean and Emily take a double-decker bus tour of the city’s sites. They snap photos, and Sean gets a few kisses. He also describes his ideas on love at Speakers’ Corner.
They cap off their one-on-one with a romantic dinner at Wakefield Tower, where King Henry VIII imprisoned his wives before he beheaded them.
I like the sense of humor Emily showed when she warned Sean he could be next, if he didn’t please her, but I just don’t find a prison tower to be a romantic setting.
I would be looking over one shoulder for the headless ghost of Anne Boleyn.
The couple doesnt seem to mind, though. Emily thinks Sean is perfect, and they agree to have several kids.
