Off the scale of
awkwardness.
On the latest episode of The Bachelorette, Emily and the guys Czech out Prague.
Seriously, you knew a date card pun like that was coming, didn’t you?
Arie gets the “Czech out” date as the first of three one-on-ones.
He’s in the hot seat, because Emily knows a secret about him, and it’s making her wonder if she can trust him.

Arie says Emily is the woman of his dreams, and he wants to take her to meet his parents.
When he meets Emily, he’s wearing a coat with elbow patches. Did I miss a fashion memo? Are those in now? I didn’t picture Arie as an elbow patches guy.
Anyway, they’re wandering the streets of Prague, while Emily tells us she wants to feel like she and her husband are on vacation in Prague. Yes, Emily, we get it. You really, really, really want to get married.
Tour guide Emily points out the sights of Prague as explained in her guide book, and they see a cathedral. Arie thinks it would be romantic to get married in it.
They do a kiss n’ walk, and Emily says she likes Arie and lets him know by kissing him a lot.
They come to a statue and rub a dog that represents loyalty. Emily feels weird about it since she knows he has a secret.
Then we cut to Chris Harrison, back in Cali, who tells us Arie had a very brief relationship with Bachelorette producer Cassie Lambert. Cassie told Emily, and the show taped the sequence.
In it, Emily wonders why Arie hasn’t told her, while Cassie defends Arie, saying it was so long ago, they don’t really know each other now.
Cut to the date in Prague, where Em is questioning Arie’s openness. He says he’s totally open. Are you trustworthy? Very trustworthy. Well, there you have it, Emily. No way an untrustworthy guy would say he’s trustworthy, so that should be enough.
Oh wait, she’s not satisfied?
Arie finally realizes from her passive-aggressive prompting that kisses do not solve everything, and that he needs to release some information in the interest of openness.
