When you really want
to know the truth.
It’s Big Brother time again, my fellow Reality TV fans. The time when the hamsters enter the cage and we all sit back and reap the rewards.
I am proud to say that Big Brother is my favorite reality competition, because it really is all about the game play.
It’s not about surviving the elements, unless you count Slop, or finding true love, rather this is three hours a week of lying, cheating and backstabbing punctuated by the occasional showmance or Big Brother twist.
This season’s twist? As we all know, not everyone in the game is out to win.
To be honest, I’m not impressed. I just don’t see how locking up the food pantry when the lights are off will mess up the game of any of the show’s real players.
The one thing I will give the Saboteur, however, is that he or she will definitely make it harder to make a tight alliance. I mean, what if you pick someone to work with who doesn’t even want to make it to the end?
It could definitely come into play, but I think that having secret partnerships bred just as much distrust.
Now I’ve avidly watched Big Brother for years and hope to one day be a house guest myself, so when the opportunity to write on the show presented itself, I jumped on it.
Then I realized just how difficult rankings for a show like Big Brother would be.
The game changes constantly.
You can go from favorite to win, to out the door in an instant.
For that reason, my rankings are going to be not of likelihood to win, but likelihood to go home each week.
In other words, the top ranked person will often be the HoH on down to the nominees or potential nominees.
I will be doing two rankings a week, one after the HoH is crowned and a second after the nominees have been selected. I will do a third post, if and only if, the veto changes the game drastically.
This means that each week the rankings could look drastically different. It also means that sticking somewhere in the center of the countdown is better in the big scheme of things.

I will base my rankings on the broadcast shows, meaning that plenty will transpire in the live feeds that I will not necessarily consider in my rankings.
