Big Brother: Mean Mr. Mustard Attacks And PoV Ceremony
Commentary and Report by Big Sister
July 23, 2007

Warning: Spoiler Material Below
Dustin has been playing detective and found the mustard in the fridge was "factory sealed". He's not sure where it came from. "Must be the store room."

Kail says "Who went into the store room?" Am-Eric-A's Liar says "I went in to get a cantaloupe."

Jen checks the storage room and can't find an open mustard bottle. She then tells everybody that she "knows who did it and I'm not going to tell. You can tell when someone is lying to you."

I'd love to know who she thinks did it.

She goes outside and sits with Dick who in typical Dick fashion says "its bullshit."

With the mustard caper over the talk turn back to the game and Daniele, Eric, Kail, Amber and Dick are talking about Zach and how weird he is getting. They mention is comment yesterday about "sniffing soiled panties" and we find out that yesterday he told Daniele to fetch "Jessica and tell her I want a back massage." Eric says "The police are going to have to come soon" and I am thinking that everyone in the house will soon be thinking that Zach is responsible for the mustard attack.

I'm also thinking wouldn't it be something if on the basis of that Dick decided to replace Jen with Zach on the block? Mustard ramifications!

In the kitchen Daniele tells Jen that she would never do something like that and Jen tells her it's okay, she doesn't think Daniele did it.

Dick and Amber are out in the backyard and he is beating up on her again. Once again telling her she has to quit crying and being "so emotional". She is learning to stand her ground with him and tells him repeatedly that that "is just me" and that she is "not going to change". Dick finally gets pissed because she will not do as he says and he gets up and leaves.

As soon as he leaves pure and sweet Kail goes to Amber and says "You can tell me anything about him and I'll never say a thing." I have a feeling Amber is used to being used. And Kail is used to using.

And it doesn't stop here for poor Amber. Dick has decided to try a little disinformation tactic and see what happens. We learn this when Jameka goes to Amber and says "Dick just told me that you put the mustard on Jen's clothes." Amber seems incredulous and asks "Was he serious?" Jameka says "Yes but maybe he's trying to see if I'll tell you. He may be waiting to see if you confront him about it." Smart girl Jameka. Not so smart Dick.

Yup. Sure enough Amber says "That just changed my whole heart towards him. I've had mixed emotions about him from the beginning." She says "I'm not going to say anything to him. It's a blessing to me right now to hear that." They decide that if Amber doesn't say anything to Dick about it he might trust both of them more and give them more information. Information they may use against him. Jameka says "I love it."

Jameka then indicates that she thinks it was Dick that did it because he went in that room for his shoes and socks. Amber says "Jen knows it was either Daniele or Dick." Jameka then takes it a step too far and says "I swear I saw mustard on his boots." That is a step to far for me, but I have to say I'm glad to finally see the girl's got some game.

Jen then comes over and Jameka tells her that she thinks Dick did it. And not ten minutes later Jen goes to Dick and asks if he knows who did it and he says "No." She says "Really, you're the one person who should." Jen is then called to the Diary Room and I'm betting that on Tuesday night we will see her say "I know Dick did it."

Wow!

Okay, I don't know if Dick actually said that to Jameka or not. I didn't hear it. But I think it is more likely that Dick would try that kind of trick than Jameka would make it up. It also seems like the kind of smart-but-not-smart-enough thing that Dick would come up with. And look where it got him. He's lost Jameka and Amber. And now Jen thinks he is the mustard fiend.

And now for this whole Am-Eric-A's Player twist. I've had mixed feelings about it from the beginning. I like the concept of the twist. I don't like who Big Brother chose for the twist. And I definitely don't like some of the tasks. Like this one. Being a vandal is not cool. It's not funny. It's not entertaining. It's just wrong.

But most of all I don't like the way it allows Big Brother to influence the game. By assigning this kind of task the game is changed. If it becomes the belief of the hamsters that either Dick, or anyone else other than Eric, is responsible for this it is unfair.

I also don't like that America is basing the vote on who is liked and not liked. That is so simple and predictable it is boring. American doesn't like Joe so let's send him home. America doesn't like Jen so let's mess up her personal belongings.

This game is good enough on its own merits. The show is good enough when we are allowed to just watch it play out.

Quit screwing up a good thing Big Brother.

Oh yeah, this was supposed to be about the Power of Veto Ceremony. Well shortly after Jen gave the not so subtle "I think you did it" message to Dick she was called to the Diary Room to prepare. As usual the production staff screwed up and we heard a little of what was being said in the Diary Room, but nothing juicy to pass on.

When the ceremony is finally over we learn that Jen has indeed saved herself. Dick then nominated Mike to replace Jen.

Who will be the target? Kail or Mike?

Will there be more fallout from Mean Mr. Mustard's attack?

Who knows what will happen tonight.

You can't count on anything in the Big Brother house. But you can count on me to tell you all about it tomorrow.

Because of her sisterly relation to her "Big Brother" it's really important that Big Sister's identity remain covert - we wouldn't want the parental unit getting wind of her snooping and "ground" her. Fortunately around here they can keep a secret much better than most of the major networks!
