Big Brother: ED & Daniele Use Race Baiting for PoV Commentary by Cindy Rutolo Dietrich September 9, 2007
His father told him to finish with honor. "That's the plan," he seemed
to be telling his Father. "Finish honorably. That's what I'll do. "Zach
then went on to propose a coup d'etat with Jameka, the one I feared has
now failed.
Before the PoV, though I
he really had bounced back. He seemed like a much sure, and stronger
Zach.
A Zach ready to play the game. A Zach ready to take his power back from
the vampires sucking away like bats. This was a brand new kind of Zach;
one who couldn't and wouldn't be controlled. Oh yeah, and he really
wanted to see Daniele gone.
When Daniele realized that she had lost control over Zach she went to
whine to her dad about that. After all, she just couldn't believe it! How
dare Zach not listen to her? How dare he win a second HoH? How dare Zach
stand up to her and her dad. Doesn't he realize that they're the reason
he is still there. Doesn't he realize that they're the reason he
breathes air. How dare he decide to reclaim his power? Doesn't he
realize that only she and her dad have the right to plot, plan, play,
and hold power? Doesn't he see that only they should win?
She was just so frustrated with him! No one understands. It's so hard.
It's so unfair.
So she pouted and whined, then whined some more. 'If I hold my breath
until I'm blue on the floor, will you then do what I want you to do?"
That appears to be Daniele's main strategy to get her way. It usually
works too, at least with her dad.
Daniele spent a considerable amount of time and energy trying to inflame
and conflate her dad's anger towards Zach. She tried to get her dad
angry enough to provoke a fight of some kind the night before the PoV.
Because now of course it, whatever it is, is all Zach's fault.
He's the new 'it'. He's no longer a toy. Zach's become an enemy, someone
to destroy. ED's been a blunt tool for his daughter to wield throughout
this game. So every time she pouts and whines, it works to her
advantage. ED can't stand to see her upset. She usually is though.
Plus, she unfortunately doesn't seem to have a compassionate bone, at
least not for anyone else in that household.
Eventually Daniele succeeded. She usually does. She worked ED up into a
good enough lather to pursue a new avenue of deceit, lies and shame.
That's when ED planned to play the race baiting game.
By very early Saturday morning, ED was all puffed up. He warned live
feed watchers to watch and take notes. (I always do.) Because "today
will be a good day for internet viewers. This is the day I'm gonna call
Zach out as a, (falsely, I might add,) racist S.O.B."
ED then claimed to even have quotes to back up his slanderous
allegations But he also admitted earlier, that this is all just a plan.
It was a plan to upset and throw Jameka and Zach off of their game
before the veto competition.
And now he's ranting and raving throughout the house.
So, what does BB think about these decisions? What do they say about all
of this hate talk?
Nothing. Nada. Not a thing.
Early Saturday morning, ED also told those listening, that "they re
encouraging me to stir it up."
Silence is a kind of decision. Their silence has been deafening. Now
it sounded like they were edging him on. They were giving ED a big,
thumbs up. I hope that I'm wrong. Because it really seems as though BB
doesn't seem to care at all about what they say or do!
Will nothing stop the deadly double DD duo from using anything and
everything to get to the top?
It's just all low blows. Anything to disparage and slander. Nothing's
too low.
Early in the show, Jameka shared a gentle confession. She told Amber she
was so excited because she'd never lived with, nor had any white friends
before. I loved her enthusiasm. It felt so pure. And now to have them
exploit and destroy a part of that as part of their 'game' just feels
mean spirited and cruel. It's self serving and Jameka is undeserving of
such tactics.
But, hey, It's just a game. It's just a game. It's not personal. It's
just a game.
How many times have we heard that?
As Daniele would say:
"OKaaay".
Please, give me a break!
How can such vile allegations about being racist, a pervert, or anything
else, NOT be personal?
You can tell someone as often as you like that this isn't personal, that
it's just a game. But the truth is that it is intensely personal. How
could it be anything else?
That's what's wrong with this claim that it's just a game. This may be a
game. But it's not Monopoly. We're humans. Humans are wired to love, to
trust, to bond. But reality shows, right from the start, stabbed at the
very heart of what makes us, us. They take that instinct to bond, love
and trust, and turn it inside out and upside down.
I've always felt they could just as easily reward better behavior,
rather than the worst. Just flip things around, put things in reverse.
Use that need to bond for good.
I know that no one is all good, or, all bad. ED & Daniele both probably
have good hearts.
But the ends do not justify the means.
Nothing justifies being this mean!
So considering some of the horrible tactics, and even worse, violently
atrocious things that have been said, and alleged, it would have been
nice to have one of the two 'nicer' people left in the end.
