The Biggest Loser
This week on the Biggest Loser, the sisterly love knew no bounds.
It’s been a long, drama-filled season on the Biggest Loser Ranch (with a sideshow at Fitness Ridge and a field trip to New Zealand) - and the finale showed us just how far everyone has come.
Most of them looked amazing.
Hostess Allison Sweeney greeted us in a way-too-enthusiastic voice and told us what an amazing five months it had been.
Through the magic of trick photography, we “saw” the finalists’ “before” images walking out on the stage. This was to remind us of what the Hannah, Olivia, Irene and Jay used to look like.

Allison looked tanned, fit and very excited to be at the party. She wore a lovely pink dress which emphasized her own slim figure.
She introduced the first of many retrospective montages of some of the many “memorable” moments, of this season.
Then, she showed us the scale, and reminded us that though the Purple Sisters would be facing each other on that scale, we didn’t yet know who would face off against them.
First, she brought out Jay (or, “the comeback kid”, as she dubbed him). Jay looked fit and happy, but not like he’d lost a ton more weight since the semi-final episode.
Allison greeted him and talked about his tradition of writing a number on his arm to represent the weight he hoped to see on the scale.
But Jay hadn’t written a number on his arm, for the finale (despite his promise to Bob; to write 180 on his arm). He’d gotten a tattoo, which read, “What you’re for strengthens you.” As grammatically awkward as that may seem, it seemed to make Jay happy.
Next, Alison brought out Irene. She looked stunning in a bright pink dress with a black petticoat. She was vibrant and slender.
Allison teased her about how her personality had emerged; this season. She was no longer shy and retiring.
“Oh my God, being here helped me so much. I’ve broken through walls and I’m proud of what I’ve done.”
After a break for the first of many commercials, Allison told us what most people expected: Irene had been chosen, by the audience, as the third finalist.
