The Biggest Loser: The Path Of Most Resistance
Recap, Commentary and Rankings by RTVC Senior Staff Writer Donna Emery
January 25, 2012

If they chose the right answer, they’d walk over smooth ground. If they chose the wrong answer, they’d have to trek through mud.

The first team to arrive, together, through the double doors at the end of the course would win the exclusive rights to the gym, for the week.

The Red team answered most of the questions right and were able to easily plow through the obstacle doors to win the event – and the right to the gym.

Dolvett got to visit the Aqua team at home, and to plug the Biggest Loser Slim Coach; he also led them in a workout. They both seem slimmer and very serious about losing weight.

Bob is used to finding creative ways to get his team to exercise. None of the Black team members seemed happy to get out of bed and outside in 30 degree weather to exercise, but most of them sucked it up and did their best.

Bob was, once again, challenged by Gail’s inability to keep up with the rest of the team. He predicted she’d be resistant and that she would cry about her difficulty with the exercises – and he was right.

Dolvett was happy to have only his team in the gym, but wasn’t happy with Nancy. He told her she was leaning too far to one side, but she told him she was staring at a focal point.

She reminded him that focal points are often used to distract women, who use natural childbirth.
“Have you ever given birth?” she asked Dolvett.

Seriously, Nancy? You think the only use for focal points is giving birth? And you asked Dolvett if he’d ever given birth?

Dolvett next tangled – again – with Conda, who showed him her resistance by rolling her eyes.

After confronting her several times about her attitude, he finally showed her the door of the gym – and told her not to come back inside until she was serious about working out.

Stunned, she sat on the steps. Dolvett sat next to her and asked her why she was at the Ranch.

He told her he could see she isn’t fully invested in being there. Conda admitted she didn’t know why she was there.

Dolvett told her she had to believe in herself and to be truly committed to the process of losing weight. After a few minutes, she made up her mind and went back to the gym.

Because of the shorter episode, not much else happened. Buddy returned in time for the weigh-in, and we got to see a picture of his newborn son, Levi.

Got thoughts? Post them at the end.

Here are the rankings for this week – by percentage lost:
