The Biggest Loser: Jillian's Favorites And What About Integrity?
Commentary by RTVC Staff Writer Rikki A.
November 11, 2009

Me! More than enough said.
I don’t know if it’s just me, but these contestants are starting to bother me, especially the females. When Alison announced two people were going home I found myself not really caring.

I really was hoping the two to go would be Amanda and Shay, and I almost got my wish. Shay is so self-centered and me,me,me,me,me that I have found her increasingly intolerable. She has every right to be proud of herself, she should be, but she takes it too far sometimes.

How about Jillian’s crazy favoritism? She didn’t want Shay to go home, and I thought her kicking Danny out of the gym was a terrible attempt to try to make that happen. He’s lost huge numbers lately, and her telling him not to work out was her way of trying to keep that from happening again. When has she said anyone was over-worked out before? Never. What if he would have been the one who walked out on her?

So that really irked me because they are there to give everyone a fair shot, despite who their favorites are, and another thing that bugged me was the Shay and Rudy exchange during the circus challenge.

I’m unclear what Rudy was doing exactly when he said they had a hoop alliance, because why would he need to align with her? That didn’t make a lot of sense to me, but the young ones showed their alliance by ganging up to take out Liz and then Allen, so why would Rudy help her?

It is so annoying when people throw out the word integrity all the time. During physical activity it’s probably hard enough for her body to get air in and she wastes it by yelling at Rudy. Shay has such a victim mentality, maybe rightfully so considering her life circumstances, but she’s got to rise above it and not whine about everything so much

I thought for sure her losing 17 pounds she would be safe, that’s just a testimony to how much she still needs to lose, like it’s not obvious by looking. She should be very proud though, losing 100 pounds in nine weeks, but she didn’t get to savor the moment for long.

It was Daniel’s time to go; everyone hit a huge number but him which just shows he’s done. He looks great, and has a fantastic attitude, so he’ll keep it going I’m sure.

How about his awkward exchange with David last night? That was hard to watch. If David had sense he would be extremely jealous of his friend. David apparently learned nothing on the ranch because weight loss isn’t a priority for him.

Last year we would occasionally see David.....
