Could it be Bob?
So last night’s episode was the much anticipated make over week and it began with an absolute shocker. My jaw nearly hit the floor as Amanda said to the camera, “We all deserve a makeover”.
I couldn’t believe it, Amanda was thinking of someone other than Amanda, I’m still slightly in shock and might have to play it back on Tivo to make sure I heard her correctly.
The make overs themselves weren’t too surprising; Amanda and Rebecca looked adorable, Alan looked sharp, and you throw a little make up on garbage mouth Liz and she cleans up pretty nice. There was one disturbing thing for me and that was Danny’s dye job.
Why would they do that to him? I thought that Tabitha was supposed to be an expert. As I have said in prior weeks he had the whole Taylor Hicks thing going for him, and now he looks like an ad for Just for Men gone horrible wrong. I feel bad his family flew all the way to see him like that, it looked like a toupee.
Another thing that makes me sad is this is the second time this season they have shown Danny’s daughter saying she can’t wait to go on her journey. Why doesn’t someone tell her instead of going on a journey she could just not be fat instead?
Everyone seemed giddy about working with Tim Gunn. I’m not a project runway fan myself, so I don’t find him too appealing. Plus does anyone else think he talks like Yoda? He said to Amanda, “Spectacular you look”. That’s right Tim, Amanda looks spectacular because as Yoda would say “weight lost she has”.
Rudy didn’t look quite as handsome as I had thought, but there’s still time. I thought he would be like a Neil, Mike or a Bernie from past seasons past where they shed some pounds and look pretty cute. Rudy still has a way to go and he’s not doing too bad because his wife looked pretty cute to me.
Has anyone noticed that from past seasons? Some of the fattest guys have had the hottest wives. Notice how that never happens in reverse; big fat girls never seem to bag the handsome guys. Just an observation.
Rudy then had to open his mouth about his sister, which of course cause Dr. Phillian to pounce all over him. Rudy always seems to be a little stand offish and mouthy, so I though maybe he would put her in her place when she tried her psycho babble on him, but ultimately he listened.
It really ticked me off when she kept saying he was abandoned. Uh Jillian, he tried to tell you his parents had to spend more time with his Leukemia stricken sister, that’s not really abandoning him, it’s not like they left him home alone to play in a dart tournament at a bar down the street. What should they have done, taken Rudy to the DQ and putt-putt golf while his sister lay in a bed sick? Quit passing judgment and just help them burn calories, geeez.
During Liz’s speech I laughed during her confession of watching Biggest Loser and eating ice cream, I do that all the time. Only last night it was frozen egg rolls, but unlike Liz used to do, I exercise everyday so I can afford to yet junky once in a while.
She did look.....
