The Biggest Loser: Taking Care Of Yourself Means Taking Better Care Of Everyone Else
Commentary by RTVC Staff Writer Rikki A.
November 25, 2009

A true hero.
Let me begin this week's Biggest Loser commentary by giving you the dictionary definition of the word hero.

"A hero is a person who, in the opinion of others, has heroic qualities or has performed a heroic act and is regarded as a model or ideal."

That word was thrown around so much last night I just wanted to give you the proper meaning.

Is their weight loss impressive, of course, are they heroes, no not really. Allen is because he’s a fireman, but that’s it.

Okay, moving on, last night Jillian gave Rudy some attitude about why he voted off Rebecca, he said it was because of her playing both teams, Jillian said it was because she was a threat. I might have to agree with Jillian, as much as it pains me, that Rudy was scared of Rebecca and sent her packing when he had the chance.

I would have too, if I were Rudy, because she was always doing well in challenges and putting up good numbers. I think Rudy just didn’t want to admit he was intimidated by a girl.

I’m still trying to get over Danny’s dye job and I am having the hardest time adjusting. I want gray Danny back. Last night we got to see plenty of the seventeen year old Danny, who the forty plus year old Danny is hoping to get back. Uh Buddy, it doesn’t matter how much weight you lose, you’re going to get older. You’ll never be seventeen again. Face it.

I haven’t been giving the gang enough credit for their weight loss. It’s not as noticeable until the flashbacks and then you’re able to really compare where they are to where they were, they all look great. I was dogging them a bit after their make overs, but their transformations are impressive.

Isn’t funny to see Days of our Lives commercials during the show? I think it is because Ali is so nice and sweet that her villainess character on the soap just seems laughable.

So, Suzy Orman paid a visit to the ranch. Whoopee. Kate Gosselin better take a good look because that’s how she is going to look in ten years. I heard Suzy filed bankruptcy once, I don’t know if that’s true or not, I couldn’t find it in my two minutes of research, but if it is it seems like maybe she shouldn’t be giving financial advice.

What’s next? Carnie Wilson and John Goodman coming to the ranch to give their weight loss secrets?

Could anything have been more brutal than the Multi-Grain Cheerios endorsement? That was one of the worst all year, and that’s really saying something. It was horrible cheesy....
