The Biggest Loser: Who Will Be The Biggest Loser? Well...
Commentary by RTVC Staff Writer Rikki A.

The Biggest Loser?
This week I was a little disappointed at NBC for giving us three hours of the Biggest Loser. I am starting to hit burn out mode, so I chose to forgo the first hours all together as I was under the impression it was more of a recap thing. Sorry if I missed anything worth reporting, I just couldn’t give the show three hours.

Moving on, I couldn’t believe how the men did at home. I think Liz and Amanda did as well as could be expected; they simply don’t have as much to lose as the guys.

What Danny did at home was fantastic, and now if he could only create a time machine to get himself back to his teenage years life would be perfect.

Rudy did really well also, especially considering he had to go back to work. I didn’t catch it in as much in the beginning, but Rudy seems to be full of excuses anyway, although his day really does seem packed. So good for him for losing weight regardless.

Although I wish he would take this opportunity to vocalize to people that although it is hard to make time, there is always time to work out in some capacity, even if it’s not at a gym. He proved it on the scale, I just wish he would use his platform to inspire others in similar situations more.

I don’t recall it mentioning if Danny had to go back to work or not yet, or if Amanda works. Liz had to get back to work on the farm, but doing farm work could probably only help her cause.

I didn’t know she and her husband were having such problems. He better recommit because for a grandma she is looking pretty good, so he better hold on a little tighter because she is the looker of the two.

Amanda has always been cute, so her looking as good as she does is no surprise. But all season she has talked about being America’s choice and the pressure it put on her. Now if America votes for her again, I don’t think she can take the pressure of being America’s double choice. She might explode.

I always forget how little difference there was between Amanda and the other girl at the finale. They showed her on this weeks episode and she looked pretty good, losing forty plus pounds by kick starting her weight loss with a stay at the Biggest Loser Sweat Lodge in Utah.

I didn’t vote, I forgot, but I have to say Amanda deserves it more than Liz. Although Amanda has driven me more nuts than Liz, look how many times Liz was under the yellow line. That alone causes me to feel like Amanda deserves the votes.

Do I think that either one of them stand a chance against the Goliaths, no. But, like Donna pointed out, who would have picked Helen last year? I certainly didn’t, I thought she’s be a distant third, so shows what I know.

I know there is an age difference of about eight years between Rudy and Danny, but it surprises me that Danny can’t even come close to matching Rudy’s athletic prowess. The vast difference between their finishing times in the marathon was surprising, and I actually thought Danny held Liz back, although you would have originally thought it would be the other way around.

I have to mention the terrible product placement in the episode. The Subway party platter endorsement wasn’t too bad, they snuck that one in there, although I though it was slightly outlandish of Bob suggesting bringing a platter to the next party they go too. Uh Bob, a family of four can’t eat at Subway for under 30.00 (despite the fact that there are 5.00 foot longs) so I can only imagine what the party platters cost.

Anyways, the Extra gum ad during Bob’s video to Amanda was horrid. You would think Bob wouldn’t let the producers make him desecrate his video to his precious Amanda, but he did and it was as awkward and weird as their relationship. Maybe it’s a metaphor.

Over all, with the exception.....
