Danny loses and wins!
This week on the Biggest Loser, I saw a lot of unfamiliar faces.
But, it turns out they were the faces of the same contestants – after they’d lost a boatload of weight.
The episode began with a montage of pictures with the typical sappy voice-over.
Hostess Allison Sweeney, who looked wonderful in a bright red dress, told us again that the season had been about second chances. “It was a race against time that started with the first mile, on the first day.”
They showed some pictures of the first weigh-in, to demonstrate how far the contestants had come. Then, Allison reminded us that all the contestants were back, to face the scale, one last time.
It was then time to see the ladies who were in contention for the third spot in the finale. First, she introduced Amanda, who looked sweet and pretty, although her top was way too frilly. Amanda was gushing, as usual, and told Allison she hadn’t worn dresses very often, before this. “Now, I feel beautiful,” she cried.
Allison next introduced Liz, who had a lovely =- but somewhat matronly – suit on. Her husband was in the audience, supportively clapping for her. Allison joked with her about how she’d wanted to quit, in the beginning. Liz revealed that, on the second day, she’d complained to a fellow contestant that it was really hard. Allison made us wait through a commercial to find out who had been voted in as the third finalist. And…. it’s Amanda!
Liz showed no emotion as she walked off to join the other eliminated contestants, as they vied for the $100,000 consolation prize. Amanda was joyous and tearful as Allison reminded her that America had “picked her again.” Ugh.
Amanda tearfully thanked those who’d voted for her. “Thank you for this second opportunity to represent you. Thanks again for my second chance.”
It was then time for the first group of eliminated contestants.
Antoine came out first, looking slim and handsome in a vest.
Alexandra came out next, and although she might need to lose a bit more weight, she was all smiles and looked lovely in a gray outfit with a pleated skirt.
Sean was next. I barely.....
