Well deserved!
The Biggest Loser: Couples is over. We have a winner. We have several winners. It’s all good.
First things first – America got to vote on which finalist will be weighed in for the big prize versus being weighed in for the at-home prize. Both men, Koli and Daris, are contenders either way.
My heart is with Daris.
Before the vote reveal, we get to reprise all the magical moments along the way. All the sweating, yelling, spitting and, one more time, Ashley flying off the back of the treadmill.
Here they come.
Daris looks fabulous. And he has a stunning girlfriend. And he’s blushing over the fact. Aww. Jeans and a sport coat is just the right touch for the boy from Oklahoma.
Koli also looks fabulous but all this bellowing is, well, confusing. And who is dressing him? At the makeover they stuck him in a Clark Kent suit and punk hair. This time it’s pink pants and a not quite bald buzz cut! Maybe it’s my TV. Maybe the pants weren’t pink. But his tie is pink and it all coordinates. And today he’s trying to tell us that his confidence is not cockiness.
Probably too late for that one, my friend.
And America voted for Daris. Yahoo.
That said, I hope Koli wins the at home prize. He’s worked hard. Maybe the vote will wake him up about the attitude.
Oh goody. Here comes Shay. Oh my God, the girl is breathtaking. She has lost another 52 pounds. Ka-ching, $52,000. Wait! If she trains with Jared of Subway for one more year and runs a marathon, Subway will double her check. And, if I heard correctly over all the applause, Subway is going to donate breakfast and lunch every day. Even on a live show you cannot avoid the product placement. Sigh.
The reveal of the first four at home players: Cherita and Victoria are in electric blue and are looking fantastic. Sherry, Ashley’s mom, is fabulous in rose and Maria, in svelte black, looks not only thinner and fitter, the woman looks 20 years younger. There are four winners right there.
Oh I love this show. Heartwarming and uplifting.
First four weighing in:
Cherita = started at 277 and lost 91 = 186 or 32.85% (on her own … never on the ranch)
Victoria = 358 and lost 126 = 222 or 37.99%
Sherry = 218 lost 99 = 119 or 45.41%
Maria = 281 lost 114 = 167 or 40.57%
Sherry is the leader so far.
