Bachelor Pad Recap: Party Time, Hook Ups, And Quitters Recap and Commentary by Gayl Killough July 31, 2012
Wants a new partner.
The second episode of The Bachelor Pad went by quickly for a two hour episode which is a testament to good editing skills.
Although I have to say it is my loyalty to the Bachelor franchise as a whole and the fact that I committed to recap this show that caused me to watch this second episode when the Olympics are going on at the same time.
I am kind of curious how this show is holding up. I do think it deserves an audience, but it has never had to compete directly with the Olympics before now.
The season so far has been entertaining and there are backstabbing and plotting plenty.
I would hate to have to be in the house in that it has to feel like a pressure cooker, but it fun to watch as a viewer.
Got thoughts? Post them at the end.
I tend to watch more of the singing contests and romantic reality shows, so a pure game of strategy among players, I am still learning how it is done.
I misunderstood a comment made my a commenter a couple weeks ago about Chris, so I apologize to her.
In the previews for the Bachelor Pad shown during the The Bachelorette episode, the previews made Chris out to look a jerk in my opinion. Having seen the actual show, I think the previews were very misleading.
However it was only me that was wondering if Chris was a jerk or not. The commenter was not calling Chris a jerk, but rather called Chris petulant.
This gets back to the immaturity editing that Chris got during The Bachelorette.
Every season, the editors usually pick on one of the younger bachelors for casting, and I think this is a preconceived idea of a storyline potentially for ever season, the storyline being is the younger guy mature enough for the lead Bachlorette.
This season Chris was cast in the younger immature storyline, even though he was only about a year younger.
I hate the storyline casting of picking on one of the younger bachelors and then giving them an immature slant in the editing or that their storyline is dominated by whether or not they are mature enough for the lead Bachelorette.
However, seeing Michael and Chris both in the Bachelor Pad, I realized that I am still trying to defend Michael in a way.
During Bachelorette Jillian's season, Michael got that is he too young edit and it still annoys me.
