The Celebrity Apprentice Recap: It All Comes Down To What Trump Wants Recap and Commentary by RTVC Senior Staff Writer Gayl Killough
May 7, 2012
And he gets what he wants.
We go to five to four and then the first part of Trump choosing the final two on last night's episode of Celebrity Apprentice.
So kind of like having a final three, but not really because the process is the same as it has always been.
The final four have a few seconds to enjoy being the final four before going to the final two through an interview process.
But the first hour and forty minutes in a normal type of episode with a task for each team to win and someone from the losing team being fired.
There is a quick recap of what happened last week and I realize that I barely remember what happened last week.
Got thoughts? Post them at the end.
Actually writing and typing up these episodes really helps me sort out the details of what goes on in these episodes.
I think casual watchers are mislead about what really happens, it takes some effort to pay attention to a more nuanced and complete picture.
Lisa is happy that Dayana was finally fired after a record seven trips to the boardroom.
I think it clear that Lisa goes to far with calling Dayana dumb, but even though the editing made sure to point out that Dayana was definitely not dumb, Dayana did not display leadership in any of these episodes.
Maybe Dayana was with the wrong mix of people, maybe Dayana is just way too young at this point, but anyone else other than a Miss Universe winner would not have made as far as she did with that many trips to the boardroom.
Who knows what Cheryl Tiegs could have done if Trump would have kept her around and gave her as many chances.
I realize that someone has to be fired at each episode, but Trump really baffled me with his choices this season more so than other.
Also speaking of who should be in the final four or even the final two, it is hard to really judge because the order of firing was so mixed up, but I don't think we have the top five contestants at this point.
While there have not been clear cut contestants, I figured John Rich and Marlee Matlin would be the final two early on, but I can't really take too much credit for that prediction, because it seemed fairly clear cut.
